It sounded terrible the fate of ???? but then it was funny, we were at the vets. Good take on what could have been a story with an horrendous ending.

A good story within the contest of "prisoner" with a turn and surprise ending. Where I thought he was a prisoner brought to his death cell to be executed he gets his (daily?) shot. Why an evil-looking man says "sorry, but...", so, apologizes for this act I do not know, the evilness may be all in the mind of this prisoner.
I liked reading the story, I thought the image was spot on too. Good luck in the contest!

Thank you for the great review, Marjon. No, it isn't actually a daily thing. I think cats get their shots every year or so. Plus, yes, all the evilness is being seen from the pet's point of view. The doctor's not actually sorry for having to give the cat a shot. He's just saying that to try to comfort the cat seeing as how it's so frightened. Lol. I'm glad you liked this silly piece. A clever story with a surprise ending. It certainly describes a cat that is being taken to the vets, or the cats I've had to do with. Also the story from the cats point of view works well, and captures our sympathy.
