NIcely told story about a captain leaving his ship to sink and his crew to die getting forgiveness and redemption from his crew upon his death. Is this a ghost ship then with a captain that will never desert again.

A coward no longer. He faced himself and he faced his shame. And he faced his crew. It's a pity his ship was not a charmed one, or perhaps such a fate would not have befallen any one of them.

This is a well-written piece of flash fiction. The story is very interesting, believable. It grabbed my attention in the beginning, held it to the end. Your description brought the scene, your character's to life. Your character's dialogue, their action seem realistic. Good luck with your contest.
