Oh, wow, your mother has certainly seen a lot of changes in the world. How wonderful that you still have her with you and that she's still a comfort. I'm sure she would appreciate this poem. Hugs, Lou

This is a very beautiful 5-7-5 poem you have penned about your mother. You used great descriptive words and very beautiful imagery from the art work you chose. Your mother sounds like an angel on earth. May God bless her and keep her. love and blessings, Teri

My favorite part was, "aging
My mother's wisdom," because with the simple word aging it lets me as the reader know that you are making the most of the time you have with her and also I liked the last part because you compared her eyes to her wisdom! I also like the color you used and the picture as well! Great job!

This is a well-written poem honoring your mother. Raising seven girls by herself is a miraculous feat. I can see why she has so much wisdom. Great job. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day.

Thank you Heather. My Dad died 50 yrs ago and we were between the ages of 4 and 13. She raised all 7 of us alone. I truly admire her.

Hello Therese, this is a lovely 5/7/5, true to form and a lovely homage to your Mother. Well, they do say that wisdom comes with age and your Mother from what you tell us is there is truth in this saying. I enjoyed your supportive author notes. Well done - good luck in the contest. Warm regards Dorothy x

This is a beautiful and succinct 5-7-5 poem and the illustration that you've chosen is perfect. It is wonderful that you still have your mother to advise you. I wish you lots of luck in the competition. Best wishes. Jen.

Hello Therese,
What a loving and heartfelt 5/7/5 poetic tribute to your mother. My mother would be 96 if she were alive today; I feel about her as you do about your mother! And even though she passed away in 2007, I feel her presence every day...

Best wishes!
diane

Great honor given to a wise mother from her daughter! Just 3 lines but very loving and adoring conveyance of a daughter's respect and love toward her mother.

What a sweet tribute to your mother. My mother died on Halloween at age 90. I still miss her gaze. No one will ever look at you like a mother. No one will ever love you like your mother. Yours sounds special.

It's been tough. She lived with me the last year and a half. She stayed on hospice all that time.

I am so sorry you had to go through all that. It must be very hard to lose your mother.
