Ciao mystery poet . I gave you your 6th vote .

When I think of Canada the words vast and wild come to mind .. Wolves, bears , deer ..breathtaking landscapes.

Awhile back I wrote a poem on Black Friday sales and I provided a video in the notes section ..

It showed how people from different nations behaved or misbehaved .

Unlike most nations , the people from Canada stood patiently / politely in a straight line as they waited their turn to enter shops .. ( big smile)

haha, we are painfully polite and a good world friend to many. I remember this funny video with a little beaver on the road beside the US border. Someone put words to it and it was hilarious. As the cars were passing him on the way to the border he was saying, have a nice day, come back again... nice car. Thanks for the vote dear, cheers.

Well, Canada does sound like a perfect place to live in. I think this is a great poem, wonderfully written. All in all, I really enjoyed reading this poem.

-I love the photo and huskies!
-The syllable count is good.
-I like how you show your
pride in your country, as you should.
-I have been there several times,
and it has always been beautiful.
-You will probably be getting
two new residents, as well!
-Effective imagery and alliteration,
as well as a positive message.
-Good luck in the contest.

Thanks for the encouraging review Pam. I know that I am blessed to live in such a peaceful (and painfully polite) country with a cutie patootie Prime Minister. haha, Cheers.

You are very welcome. I agree about the country part, but doesn't your Prime Minister resemble another who shall remain nameless! Maybe looks is all they have in common!

We have watched Justin since he was born, when his father was Prime Minister. Who is nameless? Macron? haha. Cheers.

I have to confess, I was getting Prime Ministers mixed up. I was thinking of Britain. I looked up Justin, and he quite young and handsome to be a Prime Minister. If he is doing a good job, then you are very lucky, indeed. Wish we could say the same in the U.S.! I look forward to seeing who you are!

    hah, the mystery writer.
Justin Trudeau's father, Pierre was a real flamboyant man about town. He famously did a pirouette behind the Queen when she came to visit in Ottawa... famous photo.
I just have a fond feeling for him because I remember when he was just a little boy. There is a drawing by a montrealer called aislin when Justin first won the election. It was from the back, Justin, with his familiar long hair, heading to Parliament in his father's antique sports car.
    Oh Canada....

The sled dog FS artwork is in total agreement with your 5-7-5 writing prompt entry. You describe my contact with Canadians in a perfect way.

O Canada ....

A wonderful offering that speaks of love for one's country and the polite freedoms it apparently offers... ;) :) Best of luck at the polls this evening....
