Have you ever listened to the song, I'll be true to you, by the Oak Ridge Boys? Your words remind me of that song. Here are the lyrics: Oak Ridge boys- I'll be true to you
Feb 23, 2009
Lyrics
They met upon a blue moon
And they parted on a cloudy day
They were so in love and out of school
But he was goin' so far, far away
She said: "I'll be true to you
Even though you don't want me to
And I'll be blue for you
Even though you've asked me not to"
Well the year's drifted by them, as we all know they can
He found other women, but she refused other men
But as fate would have it, they met again
She was on a down-hill slide, and he was just slidin' in
As he looked into her eyes that night, he never realized
The only real love in his life was passin' by
When he turned and left her there, his words, "Goodbye"
He heard her calling out to him, and as he walked, she cried
"I've been true to you
Seems like speakin' to me is the least that you could do
And I've been blue for you
Even though you've asked me not to"
She'd been drinkin way too hard one night
She'd been drinkin way too long
Alone and pale in a cheap hotel, she died there in the dawn
Kneelin' by her grave, oh so late and oh so wrong
He longed to hold her close again, cryin' on and on
He cried, "I'll be true to you
After all that I have put you through
And I'll be blue for you
Though you never even asked me to"

I never heard it but I'll Google it on Pandora.
There were several lines that I liked.
'I'll be blue for you even though you asked me not to'
'They met upon a blue moon
'And, they parted on a cloudy day'
'They were so in love and out of school
'But he was goin' so far, far, away
this is showing that the relationship will never work number one the moon was blue and number two he had to go so far far away.
...
But he never forgets her and never cheats on her but she cheats not only on him but she also drinks up a storm.
...
Now true love would be too forgiving the situation like this the old saying...
'If you're in love, let the butterfly free'
'And, if it was true love? 'It will come back to you...
'As it would come back to me'
I love to write a song just for you to put in your ear people do that they see stuff they like and they are copy and put it in there book.
Thanks Rosemary,
Ricky

This is very much a song -- lyrical and rhythmic. I would like to hear it sung. I especially like the last melody stanza, with the moon and star images.

A beautiful reflection on loss if someone loved. I like the way you keep the Spirit Alive through your verses on how you will stay true to you. I'm sure this would be a beautiful song. Be curious to see what Melody you would set it to. Obviously this song is an emotional tribute to someone you have loved and may have lost.

It's all right now. It was actually written for my son Jason.
Who passed away and we donate his organs.
I'm going to see if I can get this thing set up in the musical for my soon-to-be 11 year old grandson Alexander's very good with the keyboards will listen to the monkey song together and then I'll tell him that's the way I want it played and then I was just mad at me singing the words and recording it.
I'm no Davy Jones but I can go deep and I can't go high.
Thanks,

I liked your work. It was full of love, loss and learning. This is the first time I have read a song on this forum and I really liked it. Your work has novelty and relatability. Cheers

This almost makes me believe there are men out there who might be true. I suppose they exist, somewhere. That picture is really cute. Is that your son?

No.
I can't for some reason with this phone, load anything from my profolio supply.
The pictures?
Fanstory hasn't accepted them as if they are too large for the file.
Thanks,
Ricky

This is a beautiful song in poetic format, Doc Ricky... seems very much to be about your love for your son Jay, a love that's still very much alive in your heart.
What a wonderful photo of the boy with the rabbit; is that Jason?
I don't know if you like country music, but I recently heard a song by the Statler Brothers, "I'll Go to My Grave Loving You," and it reminded me very much of you, and how you love Jay and your wife, even though they're both gone. It's really about anyone who has a love that lasts always, but it especially made me think of your situation.
Your poem is an excellent expression of love.

Thanks Mary the picture is not my child I have problems now loading and they own personal work here.
They don't go through and even if I keep it under the required amount.
I don't know if it's because I have not much constant as you are in the phone and not enough ability to release.
I'll let my 11 year old grandson check it out he might be able to just to leave a lot of pictures or videos I don't know what it is but the gigabytes might not be appropriate.
...
I loaded Pandora on the phone in the idea came from a group called The Monkees that I loved and Davy Jones's song.
"I'll Be There For You."
...
I started writing songs about 10 years ago when I was institutionalized for a nervous breakdown.
I met this man is named with Bob and he had a problem and he was taken out by the police in pass and brought to St Barnabas in toms River New Jersey
cuz I got to know him better by giving him some clothes that my daughter had sent me because he virtually had nothing but his pajamas I realize he had money because he was wearing a beautiful diamond tennis bracelet.
and watch me riding cuz I've journal no matter what's going on in my life and then he read what I was riding and he says it read like a song?
So he gave me a couple tips on how to create one my pumped about one in less than 5 minutes and he was amazed!
As a Slam Poet I can do that all day long
He then asked me how long do you think it would take you to do 10 or 12?
I said less than 2 hours.
I said amazing and he told me his story his name is Bob Ricci Christina Ricci the actress's Uncle who lived in a mansion in Cape May, NJ.
...
As we got a little closer give me a phone information told me how to get through raining * 60 six I believe and then he signed it with his name and character of a piano.
he said he was in charge of South Jersey entertainment for almost 30 years until he had a nervous breakdown and got out of the business.
he got a lot of Jersey groups going but the one that he never accepted he didn't think the guy was worth it and he regretted it was Bruce Springsteen!
...
He also told me when I realized his name that he doesn't get along with his niece Christina.
cuz I said I would like to meet her I was amazed by her movies in the fact that she directs and produces.
...
He then told me to call him he was going to fly a group down from California meet up in Bally's Hotel Casino Atlantic City and I would write an album.
...
I said I would donate the first one but any others I would want commission.
platinum blonde fortunately everytime I called is blocked number and left a message he either didn't answer or didn't reply.
Thanks,
Ricky

Thanks for sharing, Ricky. That's an interesting thing that happened with Bob Ricci, too bad the phone number doesn't work. It's good that you keep writing as it comes naturally to you, it helps you and you never know where it can take you!
I also like the Monkees. I listened to them as a young girl. I don't know if it's still on TV, but for awhile one cable channel was showing the old Monkees TV program, lots of fun and good music. Some of my favorites: "Daydream Believer," "Stepping Stone," "Last Train to Clarksville," there are so many.
You can bring up all that music on YouTube. Speaking of which, I hope you get your tech problems fixed... I'm not especially tech savvy but I can get by. I don't have kids or grandchildren, but your 11-year-old grandson probably knows a lot more than both of us put together!
God bless you,
Mary Kay
