I hope you'll read all of them. I will be compiling these with all my previous ones, all based on love letters. "Love Letter on a Napkin," was my first one. The I followed with "Love Letter on a Clipboard," and "To My Secret Admirer" which run in tandem and go back and forth to each other. My last group is "Letters from Heaven's Gateway" with four in that group so far. I'm so glad you enjoyed this one.
I am deeply honored by your compliments and so glad to hear you could relate. Hearing this was so much like your own, makes it even more precious to me. It's never too late for love.

Layered with so many truths.
Every day for five years - anyone who did that has to be in love with more than the food.
Like the fact that the letter was lost, not that it isn't good to put love in a letter - just that the best way, if possible, is face to face.
Dancing in the moonlight ... sleeping side by side ... now that is love.

It's so easy to click six stars for this one, my dear. It's a beautiful love story, though a very sad ending. I'd like to read another version of the ending, I think, where the letter does arrive. But Gus has already died. Days later, a lawyer contacts Alice to tell her that she is in Gus's will, the sole beneficiary. I'll bet there are a lot of romances that never got off the ground for one reason or another. Your story held me right to the end. Well done!
