What is good for the goose is good for the gander. She got the tickets and he is moving. His cheating bit him in the a**. Now it is going to bite him in the wallet. Good work.

LOL! Yeah, this was just a 'quick one' to get my pen back in the 'prose groove'.... I hadn't written a story since before Christmas! ;) :) Glad you enjoyed this one, Rikki, and I'm so thankful for those wonderful stars, my friend!! ;) I'm trying to catch my tail around here, so I apologize for the delay here.... gonna try to finally catch it by tonight... ;) :) :) Take care and thank you again! ;) Yvette

I love Melanie. She is the type of woman with a heart to share. Probably wanted Trent gone a long time ago. :) Good 100 Yvette. Thank you for sharing.

Wow, I love the twist in this story. It came as such a surprise and I loved that because I was already starting to feel sorry for her and then suddenly...I support her actions. Great story!

This story, New Year Awakening, finds Trent getting the heave ho for New Years. Fortunately he'll be in Tahiti while his car is assaulted.

Surprise. Things didn't go at all how Trent expected. I wonder who Melanie will take to Tahiti with her. Looks like Trent will be busy finding new digs in the meantime.

Hello Yvette. That's a funny story. I had to read it three times to get it straightened out in my mind. I finally figured it out. It must have been the time of day. When I saw the picture of the box sitting in the water on the beach, my mind jumped the tracks. :))) (#_#) Z

Soooo... I figured you were unconfused by the end of the review... no? He came home to find her packing - he had planned on leaving her for Emily but she found the tickets - but it turns out she figured it all out and it was his stuff she was packing to kick him out.
Sorry -- didn't realize you hadn't figured it out after the third time... :) ;) ;)

I DID figure it out the third time. That's why I didn't read it the fourth. Don't be mad at me. Sometimes it takes a while. (!_!)

So she packed him up and he can go live with Emily when he gets back from Tahiti with her. Better yet, let he and Emily stay in Tahiti altogether. Why come back? Spouses always know what's going on. Good job. Marilyn

Clever girls--you and Mel--to lead us on so! I had no idea where this story was going. Great job with the dramatic picture too. I've been married to my husband for 48 years, but that's no guarantee!! Cheers- Joan

Hahahahaha! Good for her. He wasn't let down gently, and didn't deserve to be. Can you imagine what that would be like, to find tickets not meant for you? What a great twist at the end. She got first up.
