Hi Geoff, Yes, I've heard and read about all the fires and problems you've had on the East Coast. It's serious, I know. We have the same problems here in Spain as well in the summer and it's infuriating when people are careless.
What I didn't know is your problems with cancer. How could I have missed that? I'm so sorry I've no six left for this well written poem. Kind regards to both of you. Ulla:)))

If you look in my Rambles there is stuff on the cancer. Very latest is I have to go into hospital again early in New Year as they want some bone off my head then another like what I had recently taking yet another graft grrr. Thanks for the lovely review.

Oh dear, I just don't know how I've missed all that. No wonder you're saying 'grrr.' Please do let me know how it goes.

The planet is heating up, summers are hotter than ever before and longer. Unfortunately, they are only going to get worse I reckon friend, governments and councils need to future proof neighborhoods, towns and cities of they are going to be fighting fires forever. As for as deliberately lighting fires when there are bans on, these people need to be prosecuted, named and shamed.

Fer shore fer shore and some of the arsonists are just young teens. Ignorant. Thanks new friend for coming along. I need to get to your stuff. I have another piece I have still not finished I need to work on about something that happened here back in the seventies. I forget where you are sorry?

Ok thanks for that will probably forget again. So sad about the loss of life on White Island. Looks like people had warnings and should not have gone there.

the volcano is active, which is a draw card for many, they want to see a live volcano. Tragically it exploded while they were on it. There will be a full inquiry of course and we will see what comes out of that.

Yep sad even some Aussie lives lost as well.

Your well-written poem conveys a strong message about how the weather and our health can mess with our much-needed routines As you say, sometimes nature can remedy a problem caused by nature.

Geoff,

Hello, my friend. So good to see you writing! I can't imagine what it's like being in areas covered in that kind of smoke - so I'm wishing you all well and that it will soon be dispersed.

Only one small nit did I see:
--> Some thunder and light(ning)

Thanks buddy!

Thanks Bro appreciate your lovely review. Missing my walks and so is my Blood sugar levels.

Somthing I have learned about keeping BS levels. I love sugar beets and they are a good blood sugar reducer. Picled if you can get them. Also ground Cinnamon is good reducer as well. Peanuts will also. I fight the same as you and their are so many foods out there that can help when walking is slowed. Just a thought.

Thanks for the ideas Bro. Will look into them. I had to stop the Metformin as it was damaging my Kidneys and the walking was the substitute for the Metformin. I recently read more on the dangers of Metformin as well.

Yes, it is dangerous. Stay safe and blessings to you guys.

Yes, that smoke from the fires would be bad for the lungs. That's too bad when you like to get out for your walks. I hadn't heard about Sidney's fires. You're right, that California has a lot of fires, some of them probably started by humans. I hope you've had that rain to clear the air. Excellent rhyme and jaunty rhythm in this. Merry Christmas to you and your wife. judi

My first thought was, "God have mercy on Geoff, Louise and Roy, my dear Australian friends!" I know things have been tough, and I've have been praying for your skin cancer dear. I prayed for rain, too. I send this back with prayers just now. Do take care and don't be outside any more than is necessary. Thank you for the poetic update. You're so talented. :)
Sending you and Louise my best today as always,
Sally xoxo

Thanks Sis appreciate your prayers. Missing the walk for my blood sugar levels and getting rid of bad cholesterol. Going to hospital today to see what they say about the remaining cancer. Hoping Radiotherapy and no more ops with more grafts taken.

How terrible that your wonderful city is filled with smog! England knows all about smog, they have been dogged with it for years from time to time, but Sydney? Well I hope it clears soon, this is a fun poem informing us of this dilemma, love Dolly x

Thanks Dolly. I guess England joins Pakistan, China and a whole bunch of nations that have it worse than us. England maybe a lot cleaner though than some of the others. Thanks for coming by.

A very well-written heartfelt poem. Suffering of asthma myself I can imagine the effects of the smoke on your respitory system. We have heavy rains the past week and parts of Johannesburg and Pretoria are flooded.
