Oh, I did get a chuckle out of this one. I'm big on bringing pets inside in the cold, but will have to draw the line at an alligator. Your poem is funny and clever. Loved it. Marilyn

Yes winters here in FL are just awful. =] It's been 80 most days. =[ But we are having a cold spell for a few days, even into the 40s. We will all die I'm sure. All my co-workers are having a fit and I'm loving it. Thanks for the great review. Rox

This is funny, although I guess it would be funnier if I were in the warmer southern part of my state. With the line: Winter's here are brutal
I think you just mean the plural of Winter so it would be Winters here are brutal.
Fun post! 60 degrees is close to swimming weather here.

I'm sorry I'm so late in responding. I've been working on cards for my shop and forgot. I'm so terrible! Thanks so much. I fix my boo boo, I'm always doing that! Rox

I know there are times in sunny Florida that it does even get to freezing and the orange orchards have to us smug pots to keep the fruits on the trees warm at night.

My heart goes out to you, enduring your two-day, sixty-degree winter, as I sit here in 32-degree temperatures. My heart would bleed for you, but I'm afraid the drops would freeze.

This poem is adorable. I love that it pokes fun at itself. This is so funny mainly because it's so true. Your rhymes work well, and I particularly enjoyed that you rhymed "brutal" with "noodle."

No problem, Roz. Rumor has it that there is actually life beyond FanStory, so I won?t hold it against you that you?re proving the rumor true. Have a great day.

Rox, This is a very interesting poem you have penned about Florida winters and the strange pets that live there too. You used very good descriptive words and very good imagery from the picture you used to go with your words. I enjoyed reading and reviewing this. Blessings, Teri

This is hilarious, Rox. Your words flow well with great rhymes and imagery to describe the bone-chilling cold of Florid winters. Your picture choice is perfect, too. Break out the electric blanket, have some hot chocolate, and hunker down. The temperature may go to 59*. Make sure you have your thermal underwear handy, too. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully with Love, Jan

Yes, I know you've got your tongue in your cheek,
but Florida is not immune from the dangers of cold--especially for the indigent.
Alligators, alas, are cold-blooded.

Peace, Lee

A very well-written poem about Florida winters that get as low as 60°F which is 15'5°C by us and a very comfortable temperature for us and no fear of frost bite. Our winter temperatures are going as low as -2 or lower.

This is a cute poem. I imagine sixty does seem very cold when your use to tropical weather. As a child growing up up north it wasn't cold until it got into the thirties, moved to Missouri and now anything below 50 seems really cold to me. It's what we get used to I guess. Your poem is well-written, a fun little read. I do hope you and your pet don't freeze to death before it warms up again, lol.
