A very well-written 5-7-5 poem about the dogs who wait in anticipation for Santa to bring them their treats because they were on their best behaviour all day long and needs their pay.

LOL! This is so true as our spoiled furry kids get all excited over what Santa is going to bring them too :). Mine would always root around under the tree looking for theirs until I decided to get them each a stocking and hang it out of reach (no easy task when I had the five Great Danes). This meets the contest requirements splendidly as you deliver a technically sound 5-7-5 with correct line and syllable count throughout. The content is playful and timely. Good luck in the judging and thank you very much for sharing it.

Dogs are such a pleasure. We have a spaniel which is as quick as a whip . We can?t fool him, if we tell him his treats are all gone, but they are not, he?ll sit and stare at us as if to say ?liars? and won?t move. 5 Great Danes - wow

Can you imagine buying Christmas treats for the menagerie in your photo? We hung and filled a stocking for our dog and loved to watch his reaction upon emptying iron CHRISTMAS morning. He's gone now, so thank you for bring back fond memories. Rod
