Your spiritual Rondeau is written well to form and we can sense your emotions as you talk of the different stages of life. Nicely done JLR.
cheers

I feel your poem is a beautiful testament of faith. It flows with your personal emotional truth and it rhymes well too. I like your artwork choice. It enhances your message of faith. Your poem is inspiring and it makes me think about Heaven. Now, I too will think more about what it would be like to enter the gates of Heaven. Thank you for sharing. Best wishes!

It would or will be great when the time comes that I'm standing in front of the pearly gates of Heaven and you are greeted by angels or family members or maybe even greeted by Jesus himself. Oh, what a great day that would be!
Great job!

This poem it feels like a prayer for me. I was touch by the phrase referring to entering the autumn years. This is a very creative line when referringto the passing of the years. Another line that talked to me was this: "my lost family, I started to see. I lost a grandson not long ago....

What a lovely way to think of Heaven, and to have angels guide me through the gate would be wonderful. To see God and have His hand on my shoulder is what I pray for. Lovely poem.

Hello JLR, this is a lovely and very moving rondeau, well written and true to form. Good use of metaphor in 'stuck among the shoals of life's stormy sea.' I found your last stanza very lovely but sad. A perfectly written spiritual poem and an enjoyable read. Warm regards and good luck to you - Dorothy

You did a good job with this poetry form. Oh, how we all wish we could know what the afterlife will be like. Well, I enjoyed exploring a little bit through this well written poem. Hugs, Lou

This is lovely and reflective. For some reason, it seems most of us facing our autumn and winter years begin to realize time is short and we need to repent of our earlier ways and seek God. This is an intimate poem that calls to all of us and can touch the hearts who have gone astray - or just need that touch of the Lord to guide us home. Your artwork certainly fits the poem and you have given us a tender nudge.
