I found this to be moving and poignant, especially along with your authors notes.
It had perfect flow and a good rhyme scheme and I found no room for improvement whatsoever. I find that riding is a soothing balm,
And it is my prayer that your soul heals over time.

Blessings,

Brother Badger

Darren

This is a very touching poem about the death of someone dear .I liked the positivity of the theme .That he has more to do in this world and then he would soon join her ...I liked that very much.

What a beautiful tribute to the love of your life. And to think that love lasted six decades is amazing. Great rhyming and a steady rhythm, the poem is heartfelt and warm.

What a beautiful poem you have written for this contest. It is always hard to lose a loved one, and especially our spouse who has been a best friend for many years. I like the verse:
"The Lord has more for me to do,
My time has not yet come.
Wait for me my darling love
My work is not yet done."
The Lord has a plan for each one of us and though we do not understand, we trust His timing.

There's a lot to be said for our acceptance of our "lot" in life, why we live longer than someone who has lived a good life, but went before me, a less deserving, to my perception, of not knowing why I'm still here. This is profound in its observations, articulate in expression, and nicely rhymed Willie, well done, blessings Roy

Willie P. Smith,
my your excellent rhyming poem tells us with sadness of a husband who wife has passed as, he waits to be with his love tells his loved one; they will waiting for the angels wings to wrap around around him and his wife them around me and my loved when we arrive through the heavens his wife and him will soar.

This is a loving and very personal poem to your late wife. Your sorrow is felt in every stanza, as is your love for her.
The beautiful ending and image is profounding.
This certainly deserves a six.
Good luck in the contest.
