I work with people with disabilities and your story really hit home. It is sad that even in this day and age that word is still heard. Glad your son learnt the right way. Good luck in the contest

Thank you so much for your kind review. I always like to think of that as one of my better parenting moments. We try to think of different creative ways to teach children in ways that will last. I think that was one of my few really good ones!

That's a good lesson! I enjoyed your story, its hard to get kids to understand that other people have feelings too, and some people never learn. I guess it's never too early to help kids understand that. This is a very good entry for this competition. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you very much. I have always tried to teach my kids things in anticipation of things they would soon face. I never thought of that one until faced with it. Thanks again for your kind words.
