Lots of questions, but no answers! This really is getting to be the mystery of the year! I wonder if Mac's problems are connected. It does seem weird considering she hasn't really discovered anything yet, and her threats started just after she started investigating. I have to wait and see!! This is a chapter that is definitely adding to the tense and climactic build-up here. I thought Joshua sounded polite and normal, but social manners can be deceiving. I had read before that a meth lab will smell very distinctive, so that is an excellent detail. McKenzie sounds utterly mystified that her sister would have anything to do with Donnie, and wherever he is, alive or dead, sounds like it is going to be just as hard of a mystery to solve as her sister's death. Good read.

Excellent chapter. What a shock when they get to Donny's and find the door open and the place a mess, and without Donny. According to a neighbor, he's been gone for a while. No phone yet, so Mac is thinking that may hold the key--if they can find it. Sidney is looking like a real suspect to me. Great development.
