I think this is a good entry for the 5-7-5 Bye bye blackbird contest.
You described this handsome pigeon very nicely.
Well done and good luck to you with the contest.

You have made excellent use of all of your syllables in this lovely 5-7-5
that poetically addresses romance for the birds. They do have their ways of finding lovers, don't they?

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem about the pigeon with his rainbow coloured plumage and a gleam in his eye and woo the people who see his colorful coat.

I like the alliteration and the well-chosen words in this short poem. That is definitely the most colorful pigeon I have ever seen. It appears that he has just the right color to attract a mate.

This is an exceptionally beautiful pigeon. I've never seen one like it. It's almost to pretty to be a pigeon. I like this and enjoyed reading this well written work. Well done!

A happy Thursday to you poet. Thank you for sharing your poem, I think you executed the 5-7-5 form of poem quite well. Good job and good luck in the contest.

I think you believe you have read intent from that pigeon's eyes. However, its tiny head is an indication of its tiny brain.

Nevertheless, there is no reason to hesitate tp anthropomorphize a pigeon's meaningless eye focus.

It was very creative of you to imagin
e how a male pigeon might ogle a pigeoness.

This is a sweet little poem with 'p' alliteration right smack at the beginning in line 1, and an internal rhyme with 'woo' and 'hue.' I was watching pigeons near the freeway today and wondering if it was possible to write a good short poem about one, and here you have gone and done it! Good luck in the contest.

This is a beautiful pigeon. Great haiku, perfect 5-7-5. The pigeons around here are more of a grey color. He does have a gleam in his eye, lol. Good luck in the contest, Laura

Excellent! I have noticed, but not really noted (if you see what I mean) the colours in pigeons. Maybe because they're so common... The gleam in his eye, too, adds to the picture of a debonair wooer.
