Hi there, this is a well written nonet which addresses what is going on in the US right now. Britain seems to have a similar problem where nobody can agree on a way forward. Good luck in the contest. Ulla:)))

Politically, the world is in Chaos at present, not just the US so your poem actually speaks for many many nations. Parties seam more concerned about digging dirt and demonizing there political rivals than doing the jobs they were elected to do.

I like this nonet post because it is emphasizing working together rather than working against each other. It is possible to withdraw from being around someone too much, but you can still pray for them from a distance. The concept of 'concord' is more than an ideal to the speaker or poet. Good post.

Of course we do, but Congress doesn't give a darn what the citizens they work for want. They have their own petty hatred to impose on the rest of us. The 2016 election didn't turn out as they wanted, so all their efforts go into overturning the will of the people who elected them to finalize the Mex-US-Can treaty, etc. They refuse to work... should all be fired and/or jailed.

Phyllis, I agree but we can?t give up hope. If we could just get people to vote and I mean like 80 percent I would live with whatever the outcomes....

Susan, your kind and honest reflection on this piece is quite encouraging! We can only strive, Individually, for a course correction at the voting booth. Sadly, I Spence too many people have given up on the system, don?t vote then just complain.
