I should stop reading your poetry until I get more six stars to award. I love the feel of this one. It has a rustling rhythm similar to that of the petticoats sashaying. Sashaying is such a great word. Nippy breezes is delightful as well. You don't have to use a lot of literary devices such as alliteration. Your images are compelling all on their own. Always a pleasure to read.

Hello Debbie. I am so glad you liked the Autumn Dances verse. It is nippy here and I have wholeheartedly embraced fall and its nuances... haha. Thank you so much, my friend.

I like the sounds of "rustles," "sashays" and "breezes!" It makes it so you can almost hear the sounds of the trees as they "dance" in the cool autumn breezes. Nicely done!

Thanks so much, Helen. I always think that the trees sound like petticoats in the fall when the wind blows. It?s fun to listen to them. Much appreciated.
