Autumn might be the most loved of all 4 seasons .. so finding an original way to describe its beauty is not easy.

I love your opening phrase... how you used the verb " rustles " with ...Autumn.... rather than associate it with obvious words like leaves , branches etc.

" petticoats sashay " are two other excellent word choices which make me think of the weightlessness of dried autumn leaves swaying im the breezes.

Your poem , it's wording , draw a vivid and lively picture in my mind... as if I were enjoying a short video and not just words on paper.

Actually I'm dog sitting for my cousin..

    .. a Dalmation named Moby..

I stay at their house so Moby remains comfortable even if " his family " is absent.

...also this week I won't be posting much cause I didn't take my PC with me...

I have had trouble in the past posting pic for contests with my iphone.

    Ciao Sugarray!

Oooh, I like this one. It is right up my alley. I love the visual and the play on words. So very clever! The words - sashay and nippy - really allows for movement and feel. An excellent poem. ~DD

A very well-written five-line poem about the wonder of autumn that always mesmerize our eyes with all the splendor happening and the enjoyment it brings.

This is very nicely done in a different format. Your syllable count is spot on and it makes for a wonderful read. Your presentation is outstanding.

Autumn is behind the times for winter is closing in on her, Melissa. :) She done did swished her leaves a little late in life. Summer burned her foliage. Now the leaves a crispy and the trees will feel nippy. With those cold tears winter will wither their souls.

I enjoyed reading this poem about the multicolored fall leaves compared to a petticoat being blown by the wind. Thanks for your creative writing, and enjoy the season.

Your ultra-concise, lovely poem, through the use of lively personification and metaphor, paints an awe-inspiring picture of fall. Dancing, colorful
autumn leaves--how I love to see them!

I enjoyed your 5 line poem, Melissa. I really like the personification of Autumn. Your syllable count per line is good. Your picture choice and well-chosen words complete this nicely. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan
