Very cute. . . and very Halloweenish. I like the verse and I like the artwork you have chosen. Since I don't usually have a preference for "scary" this works for me. Best of luck to you.

I really enjoy your use of alliteration for this poem. The visual is well suited for the poem and your words make the reader pause and actually take a moment to think. Well done =)

I think that I just read the winner. Or, it should be the winner. One never knows how the voting will play out. But, I think it's good. That alliteration is very Halloweenish. I enjoyed it immensely and would not change one scary word.

This is a really cute poem and a good entry for the contest. It brought a smile to my face. I appreciate the alliteration. The picture was a great choice to complement the poem.

Oh, those alliterations! What chance can the competition have against that barrage, with their worn out ghosts and trick-and-treating?
Good luck in the voting!

You're always welcome, Yvette.
Keep alliterating! (i believe it has been said the soothing habitual sameness is healthful.)

I like the rhythm and cadence given by words such as witch wicked and window that culminated with tricky treats. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Methinks the chocolate candy will melt if that pumpkin has a candle (-;
Your pumpkin does have that devilish or witchy look. Nicely composed verse for this Halloween contest entry.
P.S. For an edit: I think there is an extra space between 'pumpkin' and 'peeks.'
