Entered in the romance contest, this short acrostic poem is certainly on message. I opens with a strongly rhyming first couplet and I was a little disappointed that some form of rhyming pattern was not continued, given the strength of it at the outset.
Clearly designed as a personasl gift tio a loved one, I do hope it achieved its aim.

This type of poetry does not have to rhyme and my feeling is that if you want there to be only occasional rhyme it is best to delay it. A strongly opening to a poem sets the scene for more.

This is a very lovely poem and despite having to follow the rules of an acrostic, the writing doesn't sound a bit forced. It is a worthy entry for the 'romance' contest and I wish you the very best of luck.

This is a beautiful poem, I love the opening as it sums up what you feel about your loved one. The words flow nicely and you can tell you are obviously writing from the heart
