Oh my Diana,
Such a sad and tearful trauma captured in this soul shattering picture
and heartache tears spilling onto that forlorn rose; over a cruelly
forsaken love! Instant capture of senses, and wow what a drenching
abandonment for one still in bloody anguish and torment.
Thanks for sharing dear. Best of luck in contest. This is awesome!
Blessings always, Ronni

Your tears are elegantly expressed in your short verse. Your selected artwork just adds to the overall presentation for this 15 syllable contest. Your musical interlude provides a nice backdrop to the same.

And sometimes, there are tears for happiness (-;

Excellent poetry, Diana. Your metaphorical outlook contained within is written with outstanding choice of words. Good luck to you in the contest. Fifteen syllables is not much to work with is it? : ) Bob

Thank you! You are so right! 15 syllables is not much at all! But I do love the challenge. I wasn?t sure if I should choose some mind bending words, but I thought the simpler words were actually more powerful! I appreciate your supportive review very much! xoxo

"Rose petal tears" is an intriguing phrase. We associate roses with love, so it's appropriate to have them because of a lost love. Lovely artwork choice. This reads very smoothly. Best of luck in the 15 syllable poetry contest. You have exactly 15 syllables. judi

Thank you! I wish I knew who the artist was, but it only came up in my search as noting it was a poster but no artist credit :( I appreciate you stopped to read and leave me your feedback on this! xoxo

You have made excellent use of your fifteen syllables in this moving piece that describes a heartbroken, bereft person. "Rose petal tears" is a lovely
metaphor. The artwork is lovely too.

Such an image of sorrowing beauty, in image and words and music.
The rose petals curl and wither from the once vibrant rose, the lover leaves, to be replaced by sadness. It's a little spooky that the tears turn into blood drops, but love HAS died, or been killed off.
How did you know I love organ and cello music?? I went to a concert last Saturday at our Town Hall. We have a HUGE organ that just turned 100yrs so there was a birthday bash concert. The organ was accompanied for some music by 20 cellos. It sounded amazing. Plus the City Choir sang for other pieces. Brilliant concert. I might write a story about it - the history of the organ ('Norma') is really interesting.

Awe! Your?re da bestest! I love music like this too! The concert sounds like it was enviable!! Maybe the tears are trying to restore the rise to its once vibrant color! Crying is such a cleansing thing most times! Love your feedback my friend! xoxoxoxo

A good boo hoo can pull us through. I did a day of crying after Cubby got put to sleep, now when I think of her I have a sad smile at her memory. Having said that, my eyes just started prickling thinking about her.

I know, it?s hard and you will feel it for a long time. Maybe a new kitty will help a bit. Have you thought about that?

Hello Diana. The verse is interesting because it describes the tears falling onto the roses. The final line is the summary of the first two lines. I see contest on here that says write a poem that tells a story. If a poem doesn't tell a story, I'm not interested in reading it. Even though you only have 15 syllables, you tell a story. I get it. Good luck in the contest. Robert
