Hello Sandra. Congratulations on your success with the book. The story of Eric is heartwarming. I wish you the best of luck with the book. I cannot imagine the frustration and confusion of dyslexia. I am convinced it would take a great deal of work and dedication to overcome that. Good for Eric. Robert

Now that he is in a school that understands and can help him, he is so much happier. Having children around him that have the same problem takes away the feeling of him being 'dumb' as he was called. He is far from that. Bless him. Thank you so much for this very encouraging review, Robert, I really appreciated it. :)) Sandra xx

I have been away for a while so still catching up on all I missed. Congratulations on your success. It is good to hear when fellow writers have their work published. I bet Eric is going to be bowled over with his new adventure.

CONGRATULATION DEAR SANDRA - another great achievement - and how poetically you expressed your feelings when you presented Eric with the book 'when I presented him with, 'Eric and the Aliens' will live with me for the rest of my life. Now, 'Eric and the Indians' will be given to him this weekend. I can't wait for Sunday to come. I hope to start on, 'Eric and the Pharaohs' soon.' Your love of Eric is quite overwhelming. You and your grandson are very lucky to have such a close bond. Good Luck Sandra xxx

Thank you!!!! I guess my love for this amazing boy does come through a little! lol. I love all my grandchildren, but I think with the problems he's had in his short life, and the way he came to me to ask if I would write a book for him for when he could read, (his determination impressed me a lot) and more than that, the love he shows me, just makes me want to eat him up! Thanks for your lovely words, my dear friend. I really do appreciate them. Sending you a hug. :)) Sandra xx

Thank you, Dear Jan, this project has given me so much pleasure. To see the light shine in Eric's eyes is the biggest reward I could receive. Your support has been amazing, and your help with the American wording has been priceless. I'll never be able to thank you enough. Sending you a big hug and much love. :)) Sandra xx
I have some catching up to do, I'll be reading your latest part today. Also, I am going on holiday on the 25th of this month for 10 days, most of that at sea, so I'm hoping I'll be able to get a signal to continue reading my favourite stories. If I can't I'll be doing another catch-up when I get back. xxxxx

Sandra, This is a very delightful post you have penned. Thank you so much for sharing this information with all of us. I know how special your grandson is to you. We have a grandson that is special to us also. We are home schooling him as he has some problems and could not attend a regular school either. He is very intelligent at five years old, but not quite sure what his problem is yet. Thanks so much for writing this. love and blessings, Teri

That is such a nice thing you're doing with your grandson, Teri. sometimes a change is needed to help the child, it's not their fault that they have these problems. Thank you so much for your lovely comments, I really appreciate them. Big hugs. Sandra. xxx

Congratulations to both you and of course Eric. I am so glad that he is adapting and doing so very well in the new school. Sue and Chris need to be applauded for their search and protectiveness. This is great and I eagerly await the Pharaohs. Great job Sandra, you are indeed the perfect grandmother.

This is an absolutely delightful post. Congratulations on your latest book being published. Thank you for keeping everyone here updated {thumbs up}.
My sister had three children. The first two went through school with average grades -- nothing outstanding, but no serious academic problems. The youngest struggled from day one. He wasn't a naughty or disruptive boy -- indeed he took his school work very seriously -- but he just didn't have an "academic" mind.
Long story short: All those children are now in their forties, and the youngest earns the best salary by far. He is a builder, installing kitchens, tiling, house refurbishments, that kind of thing. He's extremely talented when it comes to working with his hands. Many of his customers give him repeat business. He's grown into a successful man, with a delightful family.
Obviously, I don't know Eric, but if you think it'll boost his confidence, feel free to tell him about my nephew.
Everyone is good at something, and going by the Rubik's Cube episode, Eric has a very special talent.
All the best,
Alex.

Aww, thank you so much, Alex, I will most certainly tell Eric your nephew's story. We all give him as much encouragement as we can. Even his sister Chloe does, she adores her young brother. It's hard though, but with the number of success stories I've been told on FS, I just know Eric will be fine. Thank you so very much for the six stars, and for sharing your story. You are such a good friend. Thank you! :)) Sandra xx
