Thank you so very much, Tony. Eric is so excited and has been on at me since page one asking when it will be finished. lol. Chris, my son, said Eric told him he wants to read the whole book to me on his own. That drive and ambition will get him there. I'm just so proud of him. Wow, this is so amazing to hear. I am new to the FanStory community, but it is clear how much of a community it truly is. I love hearing stories like this! It is so important for someone that is dyslexic to have a positive relationship with reading and writing - I cannot think of a better way to encourage that than a book where they get to be the hero. Hi Nickie, welcome to Fanstory! It's a brilliant place to learn your craft. When I joined in 2011, I only wrote poetry, and mainly for children, After being on here a year, my first book of children's poem-stories was picked up by a publisher and within 6 months they had published it. Since then I've written a short story that won a contest on here. That was the very first time I'd written prose. Now I have three 80000 word novels published and this one for my grandson is his second book. None of this would have happened without with the reviews and edits, and most of all, the encouragement from the great people on here. If you want to learn, you are in the right place. Your story is a wonderful one. Anytime someone is able to overcome a disability, clearly not something they deserve or desire. it warms my heart. I am also happy at your description of your grandson's joy at being presented with a copy of the book. My mother's response to receiving a copy of my very first book was priceless. Unfortunately, I was not even abe to be present, my wife and daughter tole me about her hugging the book and smiling widely.

I can understand how you felt after being told of your mother's reaction to holding your first book, even though you weren't there to see it. I'm sure my parents are both looking down on me and smiling. Eric's reaction just made my heart burst with pleasure.

how crazy is that???...and I love the cover of

well !!! wait until they see Eric's pictures all
over the books his grandma made and published
for him...all those bullies get to see from their grandma's...
are underwear for Christmas...

Eric should take his two books to school...pretend
he keeps dropping them...and make sure everyone see's
the covers...copy the covers...and tape them on his
back pack...print them on a shirts...

LOL! You are so wonderful, Linda! I'll tell Eric what you said. I've added a little note for Noah at the end of the book.
We go to Ancient Egypt next time, and Eric will meet the young Noah who gets to build the ark. I know the history will be all jumbled up, but, who's counting the centuries???? LOL!! Bless you, dear Pam. I can't wait to see his face when he gets this book. He just fills me up with happiness. The thing about him is, he always shows how much he appreciates what I do for him, he shows his excitement in so many ways. I wrote a story for another of my grandchildren and she just said, thanks Nan, and put it on the table without looking at it. I never wrote her another one.

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Sandra. He will love getting his book. I am surprised by the lack of interest that you mentioned from a different grandchild. It's a weird thing because I think for some young people, courtesy is a forgotten art. I will take some extra hugs and send more back to you. Let me know what Eric thinks of the book!

I certainly will. You are right about the forgotten art of courtesy. Fortunately, my 'blood' grandchildren, (mine and my late husband's son's children) are being brought up the way Brian and I brought our sons up. It certainly shows. Not that I would dream of saying that!!

Those Rubik cubes are difficult
my son when he was little learned to do it
I never could. I guess by now he received Eric and the Indians
first I've heard of it but good luck with it

I am so glad your grandson is doing do well. That he's a happy kid again. 40 seconds very impressive. For me, it's like 40 minutes or more. He'll have to show me how he does it so fast.
