My condolences for your daughter. I too held my son as his heart stopped beating too. It was a gift to be able to share that very minute with him. I read him some poetry I had written for him, It is a hard time when the anniversary of his death comes along. The holidays are the worst. I will be thinking of you through the holiday season. God bless!

This one made me tear up. It is so lovely, well-written, and bittersweet.
You can always look back and find comfort in the fact that you were with her at the end--comfort in knowing she is with Jesus.

It's been 11 years since I lost my daughter also, we're sisters in a tragic bond no one should have to face, but God is so faithful! My Jolene is my past and my future, but she's not a part of my present, and I'm at peace with that. I'm glad you share that same faith.
