Nice, just catching up before i trot off to the next/last instalment.

Medicine Man cocked his head to one side and winked. - would 'to one side' not be inferred by cocking?

Thank you, Gareth, I've changed that now. It's lucky you're around to put me right, no one else picked up on that! Big hugs my friend. xxx

Oh, you do have such a way with cliffhanger endings!! A great chapter! And now I know who originated the awesome meaning for the word "awesome." LOL! Enjoyed! This story will always get my vote. It is a treasure to read!

Oh my. Is the Medicine Man an alien? I guess I'll have to wait and see. Another great chapter. I like how you made it Ella's voice that attracted the Indians to her. Looking forward to the next chapter. Rox

-Very nice image and good chapter, Sandra.
-One thing that stands out is the kindness Hetiwa
has shown Ellie, and how the two have bonded.
-I am glad to see Hetiwa and the others
portrayed that way; they are peaceful
and appreciate nice things, like Ellie's singing.
-I also like how you begin and end with the
mystery of the Medicine Man.
-The story the chief tells of hearing
Ellie sing is done well, too.
-The description of the teepee is also good.
-You are being very crafty with descriptions
like this at the end: "his eyes twinkling mischievously."
-I am glad we are soon going to learn who he is!

I did enjoy writing this part, Pam, it's now at the end of the story. Tomorrow will reveal what it is about the medicine man. Thank you so much for the help you've given me, my friend, and all the lovely reviews. The gold stars have always been secondary to what you say about each part, but I do appreciate the gift of them very much. I'm off to bed now. Talk to you in the morning. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxxx

Hi Sandra, he's an alien???...or was...whoever he is...I would say he gets around...at least if he knows Eric...now lets get Ellie to sing...and get out of there...not sure I would be that trusting...but I must say they sound pretty friendly...and Ellie does like them...so what are they up to...hmmmmm...love this chapter you...very well written my wonderful sweet friend...and the perfect picture...love to you bunches...Linda xxoo

how are you doing sweet girl???...I am finally home...and am looking forward to some quiet time...to first day coming back was a nightmare...I ran into about three 50 or 60 mile back up...5 to 10 miles an hour...then I was talking to my son...and he said on top of the people who were leaving because of the hurricane....and it was the busiest holiday of the year for driving...that would explain why the traffic...it took me about three in a half more hours more to get to my hotel...but I am here grateful and safe...going to go to bed...and sleepy...

I hope Ian is doing well...and you too...say hi for me.....much love you,,,xxoo

Hi Linda, I've been really worried about you! I'm so pleased you're home safe and sound. What a terrible journey home you had! What is it like where you are now? Will you be affected by the hurricane? Watching it on the television news, it looks horrendous!!!! Keep safe my friend.
I decided to make the Indians friendly because all the stories are about how cruel they were, but they must have been nice people before the new settlers stole their land. So, this is in that period. Indians were nice people!! lol. I'll let you find out what is with the medicine man in a couple of days when I post the final part. Then I'll be taking a bit of time to put it into book format and having a break from writing for a bit. I'll write some poetry, haven't done that for a while.

Ian has another of those dreaded blisters come up on his stump, and has to see the consultant next week. And so it goes on!! I'll say hi to him for you. That'll put a smile on his face.

You take care now! I want to know the hurricane is not near you. Love you loads, my dear friend. Big hugs. Sandra xxxxxxx

Hi Sandra, I am out of the way of the hurricane...my brother is feeling it on the Orlando side of the state...but it could have been worse...my heart goes out to the people in the Bahamas...it just sat there for days...on Kristy's side they didn't feel much...
I"m in Illinois and we didn't get any of it...coming back I got the traffic from people leaving Florida...where I am in Illinois is just getting cool...and it's rained the last couple days...and I need some sun to clean my car...want to Shampoo it...it was an awful hurricane...a 5 at one time...

I'm glad you made the Indians friendly...I believe at one time they were peaceful people...but I would get mad too if someone tried to take everything I had...and killed my people...I know I would fight back...can hardly wait to read the what happens...once in awhile you need a break sweet angel...I love reading your stories...but they have to take a lot of time...and thought...that leaves me out...the thought part...LOL...will love reading your poetry again...

I'm so sorry Ian has another blister...I know Sandra it takes John a lot of visits to get his where they fit perfect...but all he has to do is gain weight...or just lose a little...and it will throw that adjustment off...my heart goes out to them both...and my prayers my wonderful sweet friend...

you take care as well...I am safe and sound...looking for a dry day...the Rain keeps following me where I go...LOL...God Bless...and love you bunches...bigger hugs back at you...Linda xxoo

I'm so pleased you are safe, Linda. It worries me when I hear these things. I wonder if my friends are safe. I wouldn't like Noah to have to go through something so horrific. Bless him. xxxxx

Another fine chapter, Sandra. I particularly like the sensitivity with which you portray the Indians. Not at all the way I remember them in the Saturday matinees! You're tantalising us with this medicine man! A favourite uncle? The family doctor? Goodness knows! I shall definitely have to read the last instalment now!

Thank you so much for the lovely stars, Tony! I'm so pleased you liked how I've portrayed the Indians. I think the 'baddies' side has been done to death, and they were badly treated by us white skins. So there wasn't much difference between them when we stop to think about it. I think it was the same with the aborigines in Australia. I wanted these Indians to be nice people. :)) That medicine man, lol, all will be revealed in the final chapter already written and will be up later this week. :)) Thanks for the lovely review, my friend. Sandra xxx
Now, when am I going to read the next part of your book?

So many elements: Ellie that has the voice of the Great Spirit, and I think maybe Eric has somehow Indian heritage, but all is well when it ends well.

This was a great continuation Sandra. I liked the details you provided- explaining how Ellie May felt, how she was treated and how she interacted with Eric. I enjoyed that you had Eric focus on the drums- I am sure because I suspect you research everything- that the drums are used for many things. Communication, spiritual meditation, healing and even in death. It will be interesting to see how the medicine man learned English from Eric/ Great job, well done. Smiles and hugs.

Okaaay.... so I'm guessing that this dude is from the first book that Eric met then.... what an awesome twist!! :) :) A really cool installment, Lady Sandra... at least it seems to have worked out without any 'violence'... ;) :) Thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

This is not fair! Just when I thought I was about to hear what the medicine man had to say, you ended this chapter with a hook. Now I am impatient for the next chapter.
This is a great chapter and very well written.
Best,
Sylvia
