It's rather bloodthirsty for my taste... glad you enjoyed the intensity. It makes for drama when it has to be condensed into 300 words or less.

Wow, I like this! He apparently hit something solid, but, what about the cat prints? He supposedly hit the cat days ago, so, how did bloody cat prints get on the car and why was the cat's grave empty except an eyeball? This was certainly a strange and horrifying story, so it well meets the guidelines of the prompt. Revenge of the dead is a familiar theme in horror stories and this is a fine example.

Revenge seems to be the motivation for a lot of stories. I am unfamiliar with the horror genre - I never read it, so I was racking my brains to think of horrific situations. Having my cat run over is the worst thing that's happened relatively recently, so she got in the story.

I am unfamiliar with the horror genre, not my natural territory at all, so I tried this to see if I could scare anyone. It seems to have worked. I scared myself first. I think my own cat is still safely buried in my backyard and is not hell bent on revenge (unless she is biding her time).
