Poor duck. Your interpretation of this picture, and your opening line, made me chuckle. Let's hope it didn't shrivel or shrink LOL. good one,
cheers

Poor little duck! It would indeed suck.
You are very creative. When I saw this picture, I didn't come up with any interesting ideas myself.
Thanks for sharing.

I wonder if was a forerunner to the rubber duckie?? Wrong colour I know but I am sure it can evolve into a yellow submarine duckie right? Plucky Ducky me thinks and they don't look lame but are a bit quackers (like me:)) and are sploshers and splashers in that there paddling pool! Like the quick rhyme of this one and you seem to have ruffled its feathers in this quickfire ditty, nice work and picture!

Hi Debra
Boy this duck is certainly getting around! Love your version. That last line is hilarious and fits perfectly with the rest of the piece. Loved it! Good luck. xoxo Kiwi

Something about this smacks of Kenneth Grahame or Lewis Carroll. It's amazing how much amusement we can find in the silly things we see animals do, and I've found lots of it in just these four lines. Keep up your humorous view of the world!

I guess it depends on whether one is a roast duck, or one caught in the rain and shrinking as a result, either way who'd be a duck? We done Debra, and excellent poem my friend, blessings, Roy
