This is a very nicely written poem with a message we all need to hear. It's so easy to get mired in past mistakes, injustices, misunderstandings and grief. Living in the present Is the way to live your life, is so true.

You're right of course. "don't let sadness rule your life" - and also I would add "trust in God in all situations". I try to ask for God's guidance in all the things I do - ask Him for help a lot.

I read your profile and thought gee, if English isn't this lady's first language then she must be VERY proficient in writing what is her first language. I enjoyed your poem; it was very well written, nicely crafted and flowed down the page making it very easy and pleasurable to read. You're right too: we shouldn't live in the past or let sadness rule our lives, but sometimes it's hard not to do either or both! Still, if we can bring ourselves to the present, we can ease a lot of what is troubling us. Thank you for sharing a lovely, thought-provoking poem with us xoxoxoxox

This reminds me of the verse in 1Thessalonians where it says, "in all things give Thanks" or in Job, "should I take only good from God and not trouble," he refused to curse God. Beautifully written, as you said to me, we write similar styles, and that's true. This is beautifully written, in articulate, immaculate ballad style 7676 quatrains with abcb rhyme, well done, blessings, Roy

That lead you to do right,
