This is excellent! I do wish I had a six to give you :( I was totally entertained by this story. The overall presentation was perfection. Great chosen artwork; a creative and fitting title.
I really loved this line, 'Your attire constituted a traffic hazard' followed by the rest of the phone conversation.
It story was made more interesting because of your author notes. I enjoy non-fiction. Your story ended with a positive note and a strong, clear message. It is the humble that learn from mistakes; the prideful seldom do.
Great job!

Thanks for your positive reaction to my story. I have learned humility the hard way... among many other life lessons caused due to either stupidity or ignorance!

Me too. That's why I laugh WITH you, not at you (LOL).

The biggest laugh is when we can laugh at ourselves.

A delightful story that makes a point without preaching. I'm very glad you lived to enjoy life and tell the story! Can full protective clothing really protect you when you're hit by a car? Thank God!

Thanks for your review. When I say I was hit by a car, it wasn't actually me that was hit, it was the bike. I went flying but did not get damaged because when my head hit the road it was my helmet that got scraped, when my hands were dragging along it was the tough leather gloves that got shredded, when my feet were dragging it was my heavy boots that took it, and when I went somersaulting it was the hardened panels in the back of my jacket that protected me (plus God above, smiling on me that day).

Oh, this story makes me feel for you. I am glad you learned so many lessons, but it stinks that it ruined your day. However, they say at least you went on to live another day.

Good luck in the contest.

This meets the contest requirements well as you present a complete story with both conflict and resolution thereof followed by the serious consequences of what such careless behavior can result in. Good luck in the voting and thank you very much for sharing it.

A very well-written non-fiction story that could have turned out very differentlty, the men in the office seem to care about you, and made you see the consequences of your actions that could not be favorable at all.

I think they were more intent on teasing, but yes, lesson learned.
    Thanks for reviewing.

There is a lot of learning going on in this brief consequence-themed story. The distractions caused for other drivers is probably not illegal, though the harassment from co-workers, in this new reality, would be a cause for gnashing of teeth all around. Beautiful skin looks better on the body than on the pavement, for sure. Nice story.

Those blokes were just teasing, but when someone on the phone says they are a policeman it is a bit scarey.

Full protection, especially a helmet, should always be worn when on a motorcycle/bike. My son's helmet saved his life.
Hot pants and a motorcycle on't mix.
good luck in the contst.

I certainly agree. Helmets are compulsory here.
She learnt her lesson and never did it again. Youth thinks it is invincible.

This meets the criteria of the contest guidelines very well. I think, as young people, we all think we are invincible. Motor cyclists seem very much at risk these days. Good luck.

"It won't happen to me" seems to be the philosophy.

That would really teach a lesson to someone who didn't want to take the word of a loving adult that she needed more clothing for safety. Lesson learned luckily didn't have to get hurt to learn it.
