I like your theme of dancing. My character Bea the wee bear in my series Be Wee With Bea. Dances for joy and celebration and respect. Dancing has many meanings. I like how you contrasted the dancing with kids and the dancing needle. I absolutely loves dancing in junior high. I was the best jitter bugger. I was constantly dancing. As I look back the guys had a great time too. It was a lot of fun. I danced right into my adult life and still enjoy it. I don't know if we could ever dance enough. So there are probably big spaces where the reader would share your regrets. Well written.

So nice to get such a complimentary review from one of our best writers! Thank you. I passed on entering that prompt twice thinking I had nothing to say about dancing, but then a heavy rain locked me in the rv last week on the last day and thought of the birds and animals dancing and then I thought of my daughters and me... and so it flowed. Felt very good. I just wish I could draw as some of the things I write I want to put in small books. How do I get motivated to learn and practice to draw? Anyway, great to hear from you. Good luck on your bio...

Do you know hat you can't draw? Did someone tell you hat? Just like how we began writing...start with baby step. Dig you ever have the Jon Nagy drawing kit? Go on line to find beginning drawing suggestions.

-Great image, Reese, aand
your notes are appreciated.
-This is a very well written
poem with many good
examples and questions to ponder.
-They are very vivid and show
your love of dance, whether
it be the birds with their rituals,
or other cultures with their
specific dances for different occasions.
-The children are a joy, and I
am mesmerized by professional
and their graceful moves.
-The last verse is a very
good way to conclude the poem.
-You have an excellent poem
worthy of my last sixth star
and a win in the contest!
-Good luck!

Most honored at your 6-Stars and the depth of your review. What an interesting life we poets live. I looked at this prompt twice and passed. Just didn't have the dance in me. But, this morning, imprisoned in my rv by heavy rain, I read the prompt again and memories of dancing birds and critters got me started and within an hour... I am very proud of it and you put the smile on my face. Thank you!

You are very welcome and deserving, Reese. You know what they say about the 3rd time around?! It seems like rain is everywhere; we've had so many thunderstorms, it's been crazy. I guess it was a good way for you to write this poem. I liked it very much, and I appreciate your reply.

If we can dance our way through life we are lucky and I love dancing and these days don't have anyone to dance with! I enjoyed your wonderful dancing poem and I wish you luck with the contest, love Dolly x
