From what I understand 'Roos can get pretty mean and ill-tempered sometimes. They lash out by kicking whoever is within their range and if they connect with those massive hind legs they can do some real damage.
There's an element of humor to your 5-7-5 writing prompt entry.

This 5-7-5, Blessed Are the Peacemakers, has the right set up and finds a couple of playful kangaroos throwing love taps at each other. Let's not interfere.

Love taps... maybe, but also maybe they are trying to disembowel each other with rage?? Looks can be deceiving. Being an Aussie, I know those animals can fight dirty.

hahaha...what a cute picture. It adds 'punch' to your poem's imagery itself. Three great ideas given their own intense meaning the way they are set-off in three simple lines.
Love it.

Sounds like a kangaroo version of jump rope. Funny! The title is the final piece to the puzzle. I especially like the double-entendre of "getting a kick out of this?"

Thanks for reviewing, Darlene. Kangaroos can be vicious towards each other... usually over a mate. Boys will be boys it seems.

I admit it --I am guilty of this. Now, thanks to you, I'll think of this 5-7-5 when I start to get angry and maybe give it a little more time before I act. You have done a public service today with this contest entry. Good luck to you. xo

In your own words: 'I admit it --I am guilty of this.' Now all I can see is you dressed up in a kangaroo suit, getting up on your hind legs, trying to disembowel an opponent! Really, RaRa, temper, temper.
Oh, I read a little farther - it's the poem, not the picture, you are referring to. Thank goodness for that! Although I am a little worried that you think I have 'done a pubic service'.

Well, you have made me quell my temper ever so slightly before reacting. Given my temper, that IS a public service! xo

You have made excellent use of all your syllables in this 5-7-5 about
lack of restraint and what can follow--a battle, exhibiting uncivil behavior.
I've prayed so much about my temper; it's not as bad as it once was!

They live too fast and jump in too fast and create confusions, but peacemakers are truly blessed for they never go for a fight; well said, well done. Write-Inspire-Change --DR ALCREATOR

Thanks for reviewing this poem. Usually kangaroos are peaceful and just fight over mates... silly blokes.

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem about the blessed peacemakers that never start a fight and will never dare another to start a fight. Having peace around you is so much better than fighting all the time.

Thanks for reviewing. It seems to be so hard to keep a peaceful life, even for kangaroos.

Extremely good photo for this clever little 5-7-5. Makes the reader smile and relate to the fact, that really....we don't want to fight! Clever and I wish you good success in the contest.

Thanks for your review; those frisky kangaroos are probably fighting over a girlfriend.
