That all looks and sounds delicious, Franca.
Why don't you whip up some of each then call me when it's ready?
Seriously, it all looks fantastic and the how-to videos are a nice touch!

Glad you liked my gastronomic poem..

If we lived closer I would make you some ..

..but believe me it's not hard to make polenta ..

I can't believe you have never eaten it.. with a meat ragu topping it's delicious..

It's a Autunm and Winter dish .. does wonders for the bowels ( biggrin)

Vin brule ' is very good also for the cold months.

    Ciao Dean!

Heck Kerry , I can't believe you never heard of polenta ..it's best with a meat ragu or rabbit or boar..

And the vin brule ' is great too for the cold month ..

Each town has its own get together ..the bigger towns also provide stands with products of the land ..salami, cheeses ..the aromas are mouth watering..

There is so much more to Italian cuisine than just pasta and pizza.

Thanks for the six shiny stars Kerry ( heart)

Sorry I'm late with my reply, you're very welcome. I'll have to try polenta one day.

This sounds so delicious. Extra points for including the recipes. You mention food and drink associated with fall. The dishes you mentioned seem to go with cooler weather. I think we have our food preferences for each of the seasons. In Indiana, we think of mushrooms and strawberries in the spring. In the fall, It's pumpkin bread and pie or apple butter. I'll have to try the polenta. Great work. judi

Yes polenta become quite a rich dish with its meat Ragu topping.

Polenta on its own is tasty if you add 2/3 types of cheeses...and you can slice the leftovers and bake in pan with a knob of butter .

Vin brule ' is for the cold months too.....mushrooms season in Italy is mainly in Autumn.

And everyone has funny on weekends collecting chestnuts to roast in a pan or boiled.
Very good for the bowels( biggrin).

The bigger towns usually have a whole weekend of celebration and provide stands with mouth watering salami, cheeses and other endless products of the land.

It's the time of the vendemmia ( picking of the grapes Sept / October )...

Glad you liked my wee poem.. And thank you so much for the 6 shiny stars.

I have heard of Halloween but it's not something we really celebrate ..

Pumpkin bread is good .. Here we eat stacks of pumpkin soup with potatoes in the cold seasons.

My papa ' loved apple pie and strudel.
And so did his favourite cat ...Boobalee ...who loved the pastry of the strudel.

You're welcome. I like pumpkin soup, too. I think venders in New York sell roasted chestnuts
but we don't have them here in Indiana. We had a walnut tree on the farm and had lots of walnuts. Certain foods bring back such memories. judi

There is far more to Italian cuisine than just pasta and pizza.

Polenta is not only tasty ( need to add 2/3 types of cheeses ) it is also very good for the bowels.

The vendemmia ( picking of the grapes) is in sept/ oct.

Bigger towns and cities organise weekend festivals in autumn with stands full of mouth watering salumis and cheeses and products of the land.

Thanks for the 6 shiny stars .. I'm thinking of making some more entries about italian dishes that are delicious yet unknown to many, I now realise.
