Three perspectives and still no further forward.
I sometimes wonder do our memories play tricks on us - both of your aunts recall the story in a way which reflects their actions as the better one.
The story may be fictional but I do know some people who always recall events in a way that uplifts their own actions whilst denigrating the other.
In the end neither of them got their man.

Warmly,

Juliette

A good story. Actually it's really very good in parts. You're adept at maintaining the POV of the narrator.

I love the description of the two rival courts surrounding the feuding aunts.

Wry ending works well. It's up to the aunts to make the right move.

A bit long and repetitive in parts. However you definitely have a knack for storytelling.

Good luck in the contest.

Blessings, Julia
