Yes, we are the sum total of all our parts - the good, the bad and some ugly at times. But we are each unique entities. And our writings should reflect our differences. This piece is a very creative approach for the bio contest. I enjoyed it.

It is interesting to me that out of the four puzzle pieces in the image, three are positive ways of accepting life on life's terms. The fourth one, "Threats" seems like a negative way of viewing the world. But maybe the whiners and schemers threaten your piece of mind. I don't know. I'm just speculating. This is a fun and clever poem to show what makes up you. Each of us is different and so the story goes... Well written and clear as a bell. Thanks for sharing.

I appreciate this review so very much, Jesse. The puzzle picture came with those words on it through Shutterstock, so that's why you see "threats" on it. I wouldn't have chosen it, necessarily, but I didn't mind it enough not to choose that picture over the others offered.
