I love the way this poem rhymes (like all of yours), but I also like the content. You are so very right. As they say, pride comes before a fall.
Very funny and at the same time food for thought.
Thanks for sharing.

I always enjoy your verses as there is always a nice rhythm to them which must fit with any OCD compulsions I might have. These are certainly cute frogs.

I think everyone BUT me is in this potlatch poetry contest. How ever will the judges decide? Yours is perfectly adorable and so fun. The power struggle is real in a frogs life or real life.
Always my best to you and yours, dear Debra,

ha ha loving the picture here! Something's telling me his colleagues and "friends" will be telling him to hop it if it does that too often! I know the sort of person you mean, bigs themselves up by putting others down, but doing it that way means its lonely at the top... and if you are at the top it is easier to pull the rug from under him! No matter where you are, just remember there are those above you that you keep at loft heights and there are always people below you holding you firm! I found this poem ribbiting and is true to life and in a strange way reminds me of the "When the cradle rocks" lullaby! Great stuff!

There's always one in the crowd that has to ruin the fun for every And he usually is the one who doesn't stop to things through and then everyone follows them!

Excellent poem about a cocky frog. Now that is a concept that I have never entertained. That is a creative use of extending human qualities to a frog. Great entry for that club.
