Hi Rachelle, too right, where have diplomacy gone? A smile and some corporation goes a long way and then you actually want to help and work something out, whereas, the other attitude makes you not wanting to help at all. A had a good laugh with the choice of music. Well written as always. Cheers. Ulla:)))

EXACTLY!! The mother-of-the-bride I was HAPPY to try to help. But Groomzilla and his trainer? Not a CHANCE! I totally dug my heels in and got all KINDS of stubborn then.

Thanks for the understanding review! I appreciate it. xo

Awe the poor students playing the piano - and I understand - there are more and more - and social media is creating the most demanding, rude, selfish set of narcissistic people that I have ever known in my lifetime. The more I know people the more I love animals - they seem to have nicer dispositions, Rachelle! I think the theme is hilarious - and I also think the "You're welcome" line was a classic ending to one of your stories! I loved it! Cheers, Fonda

Thank you, Fonda. I feel the way about children that you do about animals. (though I do like animals very much, too.) Children are still delightful to be around. Their parents, though? Not always the case.

Terrific review. Thank you very much.

This is wonderful! There are so many lost arts today such as respect and empathy for another! I love "the groom's mother and two cronies", and their behavior truly fits that of thugs in waiting! Such patience is shown this undeserving group! I love how you keep the humor flowing to cope with the situation! And poor little one at the piano-how distracting it must have been! Beautifully written and very enjoyable read!

She was AMAZING how she kept concentrating. She said afterward, "Yeah, I could feel their eyes boring into me!"

Thanks for the fantastic review, Diana. xo

I can't say I'm surprised. There was a time when a person would have been too embarrassed to behave like that, but it seems that was back in the Jurassic. Today they have the attitude that they're the only one that matters and they have no shame. I feel sorry for the girl marrying into that family.

This work has reached the exceptional level

Perhaps one of your students could have played it for her. At double speed of course. That way the somewhat happy couple could get out of the way of some more entitled brats.

You know what they say, Rachelle.
You can please some of the people some of the time, and all of the people some of the time.
However, you just can't please everyone.
This is true in business, although they being the customers we have no choice but to try and please them, especially if we want to stay in business.
It's true for the stories we pen and the poetry we read and write.
The same applies to the music we like to listen to and the movies, or television programs, we like to watch.
There is no honor among thieves and even less humility, compassion and caring can be found in this new generation.
Social media, along with smart phones and ipads, have made the younger generation an unfeeling, insensitive group.
Wanna know what's even scarier?
Some of them are going to grow up and run things one day.
B-r-r-rrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I get chills just thinking about it!

Unfortunately decency has taken a back seat to I will get my way no matter who I have to stomp on. When Karma makes its scheduled visit, I won't even have the understanding that it is just desserts for my past indiscretions. But happily those who I have wronged will know, somehow they will know.

Ohhhh, yes. My husband taught me that if I'm just patient, I will get a ringside seat to watching karma bite deserving offenders. In this case, it was quite swift! Oh - and two-pronged, because their wedding day was cold and stormy, and my recital day was warm and sunny and perfect! : )

Awesome review, Nomi. Thank you. xo

Whoa. The Theme from Jurassic Park? Wow---I am not even gong to try to understand it. I'll just sit back and agree with you heartily that it seems in this day and age the fall back position is "Let's compromise and do things my way."--and with an attitude at that! Bless you for maintaining your wits about you...in the end you did get to enjoy the irony of the bride's choice in music!--Karenina

My husband taught me that if you're just patient in this life, you'll get to taste sweet revenge without doing one thing to make it happen. This time it happened quickly. (Oh, plus, Karenina, they had a cold and stormy wedding day, and my Recital Day was warm and sunny and perfect. DOUBLE karma!!)

Thanks for the perfect review. xo (I love the "Let's compromise and do it my way" quote. HAHAHAHAH! You nailed it.

Hi Rachelle :)
I enjoyed reading this, even though I could feel my hackles starting to rise at the sheer rudeness of the groom and his entourage. There's never a good reason to be an arsehole!
How do people get to become this way? I don't understand it whatsoever!
So glad you got to have the last laugh, as it were.
Best wishes as always, Debra :) x

I think that was a classic case of "You plant corn, you get corn," right? That boy and his mommie were two peas in a pod!

Some people want their own way and will not budge, I have met them on occasions and they don't realise that life is about compromises to get the best out of it, I enjoyed your words here Rachelle, love Dolly x

The part that gets to me is that they think they're being "strong," when what they really are is obnoxious.

Thank you for the insightful review, Dolly. xo
