Congratulations, Melissa. I enjoyed your minute contest entry. You adhered nicely to the form. Your words are descriptive and I sensed I was there watching the clouds drift by. The picture is super, too. Thanks for sharing. Jan

This is a very nicely composed Minute poem, Melissa. Well described and illustrated. I can imagine that I am there in the forest amidst the dappled light. Best wishes for the contest. Marilyn

Oh, can I join you? Please? :) ;) Such a peaceful and well-written minute such that it truly lulls your reader into a visionary wooded area and provides an atmosphere there -- great job, Melissa! ;) ;) Best of luck to you! ;) ;) Yvette

I enjoyed this minute poem, and checked that it is compliant -- it is. It was mainly its imagery, which is superb, that attracted me. Just one suggestion. As it stands I felt 'my quilted cloth' was just a touch forced because we don't all possess one or if we did we probably wouldn't refer to it quite like that.

UI gather this could be a cultural thing. We tend to take rugs or groundsheets out into the ope. It tends to be damp in the UK.

A delightful Minute poem contest entry.
I love the fact that so much of nature is captured and interwoven
with self.
The meter and rhyme are perfect.
Blessings

Melissa,

It's hard, in my opinion, to make these tiny minute poems flow easily AND have a sweet and tender message, but you've done that here. It makes for a super presentation. Good luck!

Must be getting some sun in the garden Melissa. It is wonderful to see the birds and the trees as you lay on a quilted cloth and watch the clouds drift by and be able to write in a minute with your wonderful imagination. This is a good entry for the Minute contest.

This is a beautiful picture of summer sun dappled in the forest. Though I I guess you could hear all these sounds in this place. But I don't know if I would spread a towel in the forest. Maybe in my backyard though, where I could hear the bees and see the butterflies.

Good luck and keep writing

Joan

Sounds lovely, Melissa.
My kind of place to sit, relax and reflect.
Well, places like the one you've so vividly depicted in your well written Minute Poem entry for the contest.
Or an old, ancient cemetery, of course, heh-heh-heh.
A wonderfully written Minute--perfect for the contest.
My best to you in the final judging.

I was released from the hospital this past Thursday evening, Melissa. So, I've been home for 3 days now.
I've just started getting back into the groove here with my writing since Friday.
I've posted four or five new poems and stories.
Check 'em out when and if you get the chance.
    Hugs,
    ~Dean
