Such a beautifully written Christian poem. Yes, in our later years we need Him more to lean upon. "He will never forsake us," we belong to Him no matter where in life we travel, He is present day to day. May I suggest you use color and maybe photographs (free from Bing) to enhance your writing. This is a wonderful, spiritual poem. It effectively and realistically describes the passage of time, but it is not depressing. The poem does not resort to platitudes, but there is still optimism.

Excellent. I would disagree with you on one point. Heaven isn't a state of
mind, unless you mean the world can be heaven in the mind. Although I prefer rhyming poetry, this is very good.
