Maria jose, I love this piece about your lovely country. It's funny, you say you feel more British than Spanish whereas I feel more Spanish than Danish. Well, I'm half Danish and half American. No matter, I go with your daughter. I love Madid. Lived there once. As you know I now live in the Valencian Comunidad. I'm looking forward to meet again in September. A hug. Ulla xxx

When persons praise their homelands they often forgo what outs know in lieu of what they know. You skipped El Cid the great medieval warrior, Cordoba the center of Moorish Spain, that was teaching matmatics, science and writing while most of europe was in the dark ages.

I than my fourth grade teacher for this information She is the only one that taught that in the Dark Ages in the Islamic world it was an age of enlightenment especially in Moorish Spain.

I would love to travel to Spain to see for myself.

Madrid is okay if you like cities, but I prefer my house in the countryside.

We lived in the Almeria side of Spain, very dry and very hot! A small town called Albox. I thought it so funny that we now think of Nadal (lovely man) when you mention Spain. I tried to get this video on, but it won't, I have to go to YouTube. I'll do that in a minute. You are quite right, Spain is a lovely country, and the people are so friendly, especially when you are trying to learn their language. We loved it there but came home to be with my late mother. You are seventeen years younger than me! I thought you'd like that interesting bit of news!! LOL. I enjoyed reading about you and your country, Maria. :)) Sandra xx

You are most welcome Maria. I guess two that I can think of are -the weather and the level of English. I thought Spanish was more prevalent
