I like most any poem that is a tribute, because it shows such an example of a loving bond and appreciation for that blessing. How precious is it that you love someone enough to write a poem about them! The thing I love most about this is your support of your foster-son. If he's successful, it must be because of your endless devotion and tremendous support!

It sounds like this graduate did not look like he/she'd make in through high school. But it seems a irresponsible life was changed for the best.
