A very well-written fun Nonet. It is great fun to see our pets play-fight during the day, they are mostly playing until one of them get accidentally hurt then the one goes in hiding while the other acts like the winner. Lol.

Good question. It's all in the personal interpretation, isn't it? My guess is that it is a little of both, playing and fighting. Nice nonet. A wonderful moving picture. As a cat person, I am rooting for the orange tabby. This is fun, enjoyable to read and view, and philosophical, as well. Well done.
Take care, Jesse

Yes, it proves that animals of different species can get along,.i have seen countless videos of endearing relationships thought impossible. In the old ?nature or nurture? debate I think environmental plays a big part. I really appreciate your kind review, Jesse

Ah, yes! "Nature or Nurture?" I think most "experts" agree, that environment is greatly involved, more than thought possible.

There are many cute videos, but I can?t transfer to FS
-
I haven't a clue how to transfer videos to FS. I have a hard enough time with still photos or artwork.
-
They have made it much harder now. This video of ?Match? was one I saved last year, before they changed it

I think they're playing and having a good time. You did an excellent job of keeping the triangular shape, which is very hard to do. Good luck in the contest.

I'm pretty sure it's a mixture of both in what some call dominant play... lol! ;) :) Loved your poem, Trisha, but I gotta point out that you have a reverse nonet (don't know if there's a proper word for that...?), and the contest calls for a nonet with the nine syllables first. :) :) I like yours better, but I'm worried about the rules committee... :) ;) Thanx for sharing! ;) ;) Yvette

Gotcha! Thanks, I didn?t read the rules, I just thought Nonet - I can do that! Would you like half my $8+ winnings from my 3rd place win for my other poem? LOL

Very cute and spot-on observation of the nature of pets. It makes the reader wonder, and this is what good pieces should achieve. I like how you emphasized "In different ways" in the middle. Not sure if you consciously did this, but I felt it was a perfect place in your piece to achieve emphasis of your message here. Beautiful

Your poem is so funny and it's made me think of my own cat and dog. I'm never sure if they are playing or fighting. At least now they tolerate each other. At first it was terrible.
Thanks for sharing.

Hello Bucketlist,
This is an excellent Nonet poem and entry for the contest,
but I count eight syllables in the last line.
Otherwise, the interaction between the cat and dog
seems like playful fun in this descriptive Nonet.
Well done
Good luck in the conetst

Great poem and picture. Good word flow and short and sweet. Good luck in the contest. That type of poem is not easy to write. Love poems about animials.
