This western-themed poem, Now There Is But One of Us, reveals a life partner has moved on to his just reward. These are tough times which strong partners must eventually face.

I hear you Barb. I suffered depression fort Three maybe four years. I got rid of it by writing my pain away. I fell your pain, I have been there. Just keep writing and it will ease up. God Bless you Dear. Nancy:)

What a sad poem. I could feel your heartache your grief on every line. I'm so sorry for your loss. Recalling all the laughter, fun times we shared helps ease my pain for a moment. It will get a little easier with time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

This is very sad, i'm sorry for your loss. Your poem rhymed, made sense, and invokes emotions within the reader. I know this was hard to write, thank you for sharing it with us. Good luck in the contest.

No goodbyes, just "see you later," we all meet up again when we pass over and we will not be sick. Loneliness and the thought of "what do I do today," all part of the grieving process. Pain will pass, just hand it over to the Lord, He knows your needs. Love, Kay

Cheers, Barbara;
>I just love this and if I did have one yes I would give you one.
> I found this very touching and I'm sad to hear, of this is true, that you lost your four-legged friend.
> If not then this was very convincing and a very good tugging at my heartstrings.
> Good luck in the contest is you got my vote.
> Take care and have a good one.

I am so sorry for your loss. Horses, dogs, any pet becomes a part of us we can never quite let go of. Your words say it all and are a lovely tribute to your beautiful friend.
