Awesome. I love how Mac and Logan still go back and forth at each other. Talk about sexual tension. I love the cliff hanger at the end. This chapter also informs the reader that Mac has a monthly income. Well done.

Hi Barbara,
Nice little addition to the story here as we see McKenzie move into action, and more of Logan's personality comes through.
She replaced the gun in the back of her waist band. - waistband can be a single word.

It read fine to me, Barbara. This is a weird place, I'm with Logan on this one, it does smell fishy to me as well. If they are supposed to meet someone named Marice you'd think it would be in a better place than this. I'll have to wait to see who they've heard coming. This is quite a tense story, my friend. No help. Everything looked great. But I'm with the 'bodyguard' - this looks highly suspicious - but if the guy's supposed to be a friend and has her on a retainer, she should be able to trust him. Nice tension. Well done!
