As always a masterful piece that weaves a tale so dear. The third stanza was especially uniquely worded-"pain she wore like a sequined gown." Now that, my firnd is poetry. And thanks for writing for all of our dear Mothers. Mine is 88 and so very sweet.

This is a touchingly beautiful poem, full of emotion and written with gentle eloquence. I loved every line, but I think the one that will stay with me forever is this powerful image: "For that breast once loaned, so returned, when on mine your head I lay." How creative you are! This was lovely in all the ways a poem needs to be, and I very much enjoyed reading it. ~MM

Thank you, dear MissMerri. I know you didn't mean to put 4 stars on this, but even if you did, I would be just as happy, as always good to hear from you.
    You have a great day.
    And thank you, once again.
    My best wishes.

This is beautiful and heartbreaking. Each line has such an incredibly deep and insightful meaning that takes my breath away. Through your words, she comes alive. I feel like she is here with me, smiling at the words and saying, "That's my son."

Your love for her is so clear. This is a true work of art.

This is beautifully written and sang to my grieving heart. My dear mother passed away 328 days ago, following an accident. Likewise I didn't get to say goodbye and I just can't get used to the idea that it's final. You've been well recognised for your work. It is simply lovely.PM

Yes, it is strange how many things bind us, even in death, it makes us understand how vulnerable and, indeed, human we are, despite our so many indifference.
Thank you so muc, also for the six stars.
    My best wishes.

Hello RG,
A heartfelt poem, beautifully written as only a word master can.
Wonderful use of poetry to express the deep emotional bond
of mother and child and the sadness of departure.
I lost my mother in a similar way, didn't get there in time.
It never leaves you.
Best wishes to you, my friend.
Robert

Thinking of you at the loss of your mother. Mother's are precious, especially to sons. We only have one turn and when they pass, part of our hearts pass with them. Take heart, you will see her again. XX Kay.

Oh Roy, I am sorry for your loss...but more so
because you weren't there...I have had so people in life Roy I loved so much...Grandmother, grandfather, my best friend...I asked myself why they always pasted when I would leave...and I thought about it one day...I never took death well...and wondered if God was trying to protect me from it...until He knew I would be ok...I was there when my father died...but it was hard...your poem my sweet friend..is amazing...tears...and the picture so touching...very well written ...and your story very well told...love Linda xxoo

-Very nice artwork and
presentation, RG.
-I am sorry about your mother.
-Your notes are appreciated.
-They help explain the fruit
imagery in the poem.
-It must have been difficult
for you, but I am sure she
knows you loved her, and still do.
-It is amazing how mothers, and even
fathers, can bear their pain without
burdening their children. You show that well:
"Pain she wore like a sequined gown,
yet uttered not a sound."
-The concluding lines are
a lovely tribute to your mother,
as is the whole poem.
-Thanks for sharing your feelings.

Yes, you are right dear Pam, I guess bearing pain without showing is something for the dignified, in which I hope we a part when it is our time, as one day will.
Sometimes, dying is the saddest part of life.
    Thank you dear friend.
I voted for your last work in pom..I loved the tribute for Brooke.

Have a nice day, and thank you for the six stars.
    My best wishes.

Thanks for sharing, RG. I lost both of my parents quite some time ago now, and it seems they have a sense of what is to come, and have a sense of peace about it, as well. It is very sad to lose someone, but if they live on in our hearts, then that is a big comfort.

Thank you for your vote for my tribute to Brooke. She was such a special lady.
You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, my friend.

Roy,
My beautiful friend.. only you..only you can write with such depth, such beauty, ones emotions cannot be contained. The love and deep admiration you have for your subject is honorable and worthy of a million stars even if the poem was not exceptional... awwwww but it was and it cannot be rivaled, my talented friend..
