HAHAHAH! This is great. I could picture it completely. Also, I just loved this line: "If it was possible for a ghost to pale, Gladys did just that." That's classic. VERY funny!! Onto the next!! This is irresistible! xo

Sandra, I'm guessing you had a bit of fun when writing this chapter. :-)

Quite enjoyable to read about The Toad getting some of his comeuppance.

I like the question hanging in the air with the last sentence, regarding a naval attack.

Very good chapter. :-)

Hi Sue, Thank you so much for this lovely review and all the stars! Yes, I did, it was great fun, and it will get funnier over the next few parts. The Toad will be a tad upset!! Big hugs, dear friend. :) Sandra xxx

Very well written. I hope you had as much fun writing this as I had reading it. I really liked this line; Her face was a mixture of pity and disbelief. Good job!

Interesting fantasy really - not sure what they plan to do to the old man - extinguish him entirely eventually? But that's the rest of the story. I did miss Mildred - a neat character.
Was that book by H.G. Wells written in 1938? Just wondering.

Interesting read - good job.

Mildred will be back soon. :)) They have to stop the Vice Admiral changing history and also want to have him put away for murdering his wife, Gladys. HG Wells book The Time Machine was published in 1895. Thank you so much for continuing to follow my story and the kind review. :) Sandra xxx

-A really good chapter, Sandra,
as Gladys and Ver. are together.
-It flows well from one event to the next,
beginning with an explanation to Gladys.
-Good use of The Time Machine!
-Gladys is receptive, and I wouldn't
be surprised to see her practicing
with Ver. in the near future!!
-She is impressed with what Ver. was
able to do to so that Charles was gobsmacked!
-At the end, you bring the story back
to the real problem at hand.
-The serious work is yet to come.
-Extra stars since I don't have 6 real ones!

Thank you so much, Pam, for this lovely review. I'm so pleased you liked the way I explained things to Gladys and adding The Time Machine, lol, who knows, that might have been written on his experiences! :)) Veronica has many ideas she's going to use on him, and she's also come up with another name that suits the Vice Admiral better. I'll see if you notice. As for the 6, those giant ones at the bottom are far brighter! Thank you again, dear friend. Big hugs, :) Sandra

You are very welcome and deserving, Sandra. A great chapter. You never know with H.G. what he might have done!

I will look forward to the new name, and more shenanigans. Did you like my "gobsmacked" comment?! I am glad you liked the bright gold stars, too. And how about this huge reply font?!

Hello Sandra,
Fun with Ghosts and Time Travelers, what could be better?
I think Gladys being a ghost makes it quite reasonable that Veronica could
be a time traveler.
Nice plug For H G's book. It adds a little weight to the traveler theme.
Charles might be a little tougher nut to crack, but a nut is a nut.
An ominous ending to the chapter,
but never fear when Veronica is near.
Excellent work, my friend
Alas, no sixes left.
Robert

I wondered what was happening when I saw this new layout. Tom's been making some more changes!

Thank you so much, Robert for another wonderful review, receiving six stars is nice, but your review means so much more, so absolutely no problems there.
I must admit, I enjoy writing the ghosty bits most, but the planning has to come into it. That has been the hardest part of this story. Now Veronica has to do her bit, and it's going to be such fun. Thanks again, my friend. Big hugs, Sandra xxx

I find it amusing that Gladys, who is a ghost, at first finds the idea of time-travelling hard to believe. But she soon becomes a true-believer, and together with Veronica and Mildred, she will be a part of an invincible team. It's always satisfying when a bad guy gets what he deserved. I am rubbing my hands in glee. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of the vice admiral.
Good job.

Yes, this is the beginning of the end of our vice admiral. But he is a tough nut to crack. Thank you for this lovely review, Sandra, I'm really chuffed that you enjoyed this part. :)) Sandra xxx

Aw, this chapter was just tooooooo short. I wanted to keep reading. Not fair. This is going to be a fun read until Charles is taken care of. Love it. Hurry with the next chapter.

LOL, there was more than 1600 words in this part. I never know when to stop. The next part will be a long one too. Thank you so much for the lovely review, and all those bright 6 stars, my friend, I'm so surprised to see anyone with any left on a Friday!! Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Hi Sandra,

I think I have missed reading a chapter or two of this story. I apologize for falling behind. I got my cortisone shot in my hip yesterday so hoping I will get back into a somewhat of a routine. The next few days I have to take it easy so reading and reviewing should fit into my schedule quite well. At least I have good intentions. The weekend might mess that up.

I enjoyed reading this chapter and look forward to the next one. I saw no spag issues today.

Joy xx

Oh, I quite understand, Joy. Those cortisone injections are so painful, I am never sure which is worth suffering at the time. You rest up and do as your doctor tells you. Not to worry about missing a chapter it's just nice to know you still enjoy the story. You take care, my friend. You will soon be up and practising for the next marathon!! Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Then Mildred. I reminded her how she was flummoxed when she realised she could see and talk to us.

Then Mildred. Isn't a sentence.
This was a great piece of writing. You had me intrigued. I loved Gladys's reaction. Her husband must have been awful.
And the ending keeps us hanging.
God bless

Thank you so much, Jenny, I have no idea what happened there! I've sorted it now, Glady's husband was awful, and he was the one who murdered her and got away with it, so she will be very pleased to see him punished. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx
