Hello Dawn,
I am so sad to hear of Brooke's passing.
She was such an inspirational lady and I am blessed to have been touched by her warmth and encouragement over the years. I always think of her when I see dandelions, for I know how much she loved them.

Yes, Barb, devastating, and my heart hurts so much for Sawyer and Miranda -- for Brooke's son too, although I don't know him. (He's not one for social media, Miranda says.) But they were/are a very close family. Oh God, I can't write right now at all! Have you seen the beautiful pictures Miranda is posting of Brooke and all of them?
I have to go and lie down. I'm not feeling so hot. But I hate to let these acknowledgements go unnoticed a minute more. Thank you, my friend.

Yes Brooke was an inspiration to many of us on FanStory and no doubt many throughout her life. What a beautiful poem written by Brooke that Miranda selected. It shows the clarity of heart and giving to others and life that was the essence of our dear Brooke.

I am still up because I forgot to take my pills and thought I'd check my inbox. My heart is broken.Brooke was and always will be my inspiration. She taught me so much and laughed when I teased her about having her computer programed to point out errors in my posts. I knew when she was diagnosed that she probably didn't have long to be with us and and am deeply saddened that I was right. She let me use one of her poems in my book Celebrate the Dandelions and I will always be thankful for her generous gift.

Oh Sasha, I am so sorry! God bless you, my friend. Please, please take solace in the sparrow that sat right at my screen this morning -- I am so sure it was a sign meant to comfort! You had to be here!!!! It was unbelievable!!!! I wasn't FAST ENOUGH TO GRAB MY PHONE. But that little bird showed no fear, just three feet away from Prissy on the bed, and me, when I stopped typing at the nearby table to look and see what on earth was happening. I'm sure some people would think otherwise, maybe even say I'm crazy, but don't be heartbroken. Please believe she is okay. (It's us who will miss her who aren't okay.) Much love, Dawn
