This flash fiction story, Before I Go, finds that last goodbye coming from beyond. This was a poignant tale of loss and the love that preceded it.

Wow..I mean wow! Love this Yvette! A wonderful and sweet poem of life's last moments. Very well spent life and time on earth, I see. Superbly done and executed.
All my best,
Sal :+)

This is a lovely piece of flash fiction. It would surely be somewhat akin to everybody's wish if their plane was going down. Good luck with the contest.

Wow, lady:) you are really coming into 'the limelight', 'into your own,' and bringing the talented writer forth. Of course, I am lost overall but will grasp at straw as iI go along.
A second side of you is appearing in front of my eyes- well done,
Hugs, Trisha

Oh God! I knew what was coming. It's too much for me right now -- maybe that's why I am so late reviewing, dear Yvette. I'm afraid my emotions are pretty raw right now, what with the recent tragedies (the Ethiopian plane crash, the kiwi synagogue murders, and Brooke's passing...) But I don't have any sixes left anyway, and that's what this should have -- it is exceptional.

I'm so sorry, Dawn...this was just really bad timing for FanStory...sigh. You know, this one was actually 'on the page' before the crashes a few days ago and I really considered not using it, but, after thinking about it more, I just went ahead. So glad you 'enjoyed' it...now go look for more little visiting sparrows! :) ;) Take care up there! ;) Yvette ;)

Been there, done that, and just recently too -- on my own page, which goes into the forum. It happens, and we don't read minds. No apologies due at all, my friend! (I just loves ya enough I felt safe confiding.)

I saw this coming (perhaps because of the title) but still it is a lovely piece and moves along without pathos. I have no suggestions as I think you have done a wonderful job from beginning to end.

OMG! What an amazing Flash Fiction story! I went all goose-bumpy as I read the ending, that was brilliant, and I'm sure it will be a winner. Good luck! :)) Sandra xxx

Yvette, this is the saddest thing that I ever read--especially in light of recent airline crashes. You certainly make this mom's exit poignant. I wondered about the air high five when I read it. I knew that it was a clue as to what was coming, but I did not figure it out.
Like everything that you do, this is well written and should do well in the contest if the judges are being fair. You should get points for timeliness as well.

Guessing all of your company got back on the road and you're trying to settle in again? :) ;) Hope all went well in the family department and hope your mom's doing well this weekend! :) Take care and have a wonderful rest of the weekend! :) Yvette

You brought a tear to my eye as I read this, such a perceptive and heartfelt work, in the 2001 plane crash in the 2001 (the one that crashed in the fields, that bravely thwarted the terrorists) knowing they were doomed they fried to phone loved ones. Well done my friend, blessings Roy

Dean also reminded me about those, Rose, appreciate it. And thanx for stopping in for the review -- sorry about the tears -- I actually cried as I wrote it...no joke. This Flash happened, I think, since there's just a lot going on lately that makes one take a look at the 'the little things in the big picture'... :) ;) Take care and have a wonderful weekend! :) Yvette

You did a great job with your contest entry, YM. It makes perfect sense. when one's time is up, there's no stopping it. I like the ending line--perfect closure. Thanks for haring and best wishes. Jan
