A fine sonnet, filled with much truth. I love the line "But if I choose the world and not your crown
and let these daunting quandaries win the day,
then I'm no better than the ones who frown ". It says so much. God surely Blesses!

I really enjoyed your sonnet thanks. The rhythm is very cadenced with no sudden unexpected syllables to trip up the reader. Because of that, it flows really well and I'm happy to give it 'exceptional' status. There is no way I could improve it.

*sigh....* This is such a lovely sonnet, my friend. It's so good to read you again -- I'm sorry I have missed as much as I have of your work. I will try to remember to visit more often. Best of luck with this beautiful poem.

HELLO JMF 4119: In answer to your prayer here: Gods answer to you is: "COME NOW,"
NOW. Let us reason together, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." ISAIAH, chapter 1: and at verse 18.
Duchess, you are right. You cannot change what's happened in the past. Because what, Jesus did in the past changed it already. Jesus died to set you free. And who ever the Son sets free...is free indeed. God bless you, Duchess. Cordially: rhonnie69.

-Beautiful image and nice presentation, Janet.
-This was a very well penned sonnet.
-Congratulations on the second place finish.
-The requirements of a sonnet
are very well met.
-I like the idea in the beginning,
leaving your fault to Him.
-You continue the theme, as you offer
thanks for help in troubled times.
-An excellent volta, and concluding couplet.

Hello Janet,
You've written a very fine sonnet with all the attributes of the Shakespearean form:
rhyme, meter, Volta, reflective couplet.
The message is strong and the couplet uplifting.
The only line that causes a little hitch was line ten with "quandaries."
I read it with three syllables, though some might squeeze it down to two.
Shakespeare often condensed words - quand'ries.
Great picture and presentation.
No sixes left, but I wish you well in the contest.
Robert

That love that Jesus has for us outweighs all our sins if we so choose to make Him Lord of our lives. You have captured thoughts perfectly and though we can't undo the sins we have already committed, we can ask for His guidance so we don't do thoss things again! Thank you for sharing!
