Ohhhh, goodness!! Well THAT is certainly quite the cliffhanger! I'm glad at least the women are out of harm's way...even if it is only for the tiniest smidgeon of time. I'll take it! xo

HI Sandra, how did I miss this one???...been way to busy...with therapy...and John...sigh...

not sure I would like The Powers That be...to be in my life that be...they don't know if their walking...or on horseback...
can you imagine God asking Jesus...what were you thinking???..as he sips the sacramental wine...
just a tad scary...

if I were Veronica and Mildred I would be worried where they might send them...they may want to click their heels together three times...and hope for the best...
well...lets get Mildred back on her feet...and so far it's looking good...lets see where the four Musketeer's put them next...very well written sweet girl...and a great story told....bunches of love to you my sweet wonderful friend...Linda xxoo

I got your email, Linda, I'm glad all's going well. I'll reply later. Now. How did you miss this one? I didn't get to knock on your door, I went to your neighbour's house by mistake! LOL. She gave me a cup of coffee, I think it was spiked, or I would have got to your house later!! LOL. This time-travelling lark can be so tiring.
No, I don't want the powers-that-be interfering in my life. I want my own time machine so I can do as I please. I could programme it to pop me over the pond!

Thank you for this lovely fun review, my dear friend. Sending you so many hugs and lots of love back. :)) Sandra xxxxx

Well I am glad the powers that be are ashamed of themselves. It will be very interesting to see how Mildred will take care of the Admiral. Killing someone, even an evil person would be no easy thing. Great as always.

Thank you so much, Rox, for R&R. Yes, the powers-that-be, especially Jowell, made a lot of mistakes. They won't do that again. As you say, killing someone, even and evil person, would not be easy for someone who has such a gentle soul. We'll see what Mildred has to say about it in the next part. Thanks again, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Very well-written chapter. Nothing jumped out at me error-wise. I must say, I was relieved that Mildred recovered. I love the way you write her accent and vernacular.

Aw, thank you, Rhonda. Mildred is my favourite character. Everyone thinks I'm like Veronica, but I have to say, I am more like Mildred! Thank you so much for the six stars, that is so kind of you!. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

You wrote a very enjoyable chapter. Words were beautifully written with an exceptional delight of your dialogue. I do like silly 'sausage when referring to Mildred, never heard that before.

Thank you so much, Tpa, for this really nice review. Silly sausage, is quite an old expression which my mum used to call me when I said something funny. I expect she was also called it my her mum! lol. It's more of an endearment than something horrid. I'm so pleased you enjoyed this part, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I so enjoyed this chapter. Not only did it mean the end of the smoke filled corridor drama, but it allowed your fans to return to the calm, warm and friendly comfort of Veronica's home - more importantly, the gorgeous arms of James, who must be every woman's dream of the perfect husband.
As to Mildred killing the vice admiral (snigger!) I'm not convinced, but who knows? Her character has evolved so much over the three books, nothing would surprise me!

Aww, thank you so much, Alexis, for this amazing review and for giving me a six stars as well. You are so kind, my friend. As you rightly say, Mildred has evolved a lot over the course of the three books, so you just never know what she is capable of! I don't either!! LOL. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Sandra, glad I could catch up here so the ptb did get them home safe and sound. I love your characters. You have the reader totally invested in their well been. The dialogue and little intimate details with Mildred popping end really sell the scene. I love the fact you leave this with the big ask Kill the VA I think poor Mildred will have to find an Ally in the next Jump to do the deed. Loved it Sandra.

You are the best, Rob! Thank you so much for taking time out to come and review my story, and putting a smile on my face.
Mildred is in shock at the moment, LOL. The idea of her committing murder is funny, but, it might be necessary. We'll see what she has to say next time. Thank you for the six stars, my friend, I truly appreciate your coming to review me. Big hugs. Sandra xxxx

    How's the editing going? xx

Hello Sandra,
Some Powers, I'd rename Jowell - Dumbo-ell.
If there was a woman in power, this never would have happened.

It's good to see them back in 1996, away from the Power Shortage.

"I'll tell them the chip-pan caught alight" I don't think all readers will know what that is.

Another great cliffhanger ending. Kill the V. A.? Are you sure it wasn't Veronica who was hit on the head? Maybe by the kangaroo's tale thumping around.
Of course, they can't kill the V A. I'm sure Mildred will think of a more humane action. Maybe they can break his leg or Tommy can give him some sleeping pills to knock him out.
Robert.

PS. I like the kangaroo's tale, it lightens the tension a bit.

Yes, I agree with you, put a woman in charge! Mildred? I reckon she could do a fine job of sorting the time-lines out. Is a 'chip-pan' just an English/European thing? I didn't realise that. I'll sort that out. Thank you so much for the six stars and fabulous review, my friend, and I'm glad you liked the kangaroo's tail, tale! :)) Sandra xxx

-Another very good chapter, Sandra.
-The anger of the Powers is certainly justified.
-Jowell takes responsibility, however, and advises
the others to let him know of any future problems.
-The scene in the hospital is a good one, as Mildred
seems to be her old self, and wants to go home!
-Ver. is overcome with emotion, glad to see her spunk!
-James makes sure Mildred understands that she
has to be cleared medically by him after staying
the night at the hospital, and she agrees.
-Finally, they are all back together, and Ver.
has a chance to tell James what had
happened; he is none too pleased.
-Mildred comes in after resting and seems to be
herself, as she exclaims about the "kanagroo's tale,"
much to the amusement of Ver. and James,
as well as the reader!
-Then she is told her "assignment,"
making for a good ending.
-I would doubt that the Powers would
agree to that after all that has transpired!

Hi Pam, thank you for another of your really lovely reviews! Mildred wouldn't be Mildred if she didn't have something to say on the matter. Her turn will come! I'm glad you enjoyed this part, and the Kangaroo's tale, we were watching a programme on the Geographical channel and there was one on Australia and the Kangaroo's. It fitted in nicely with the thumping headache Mildred had. Thank you so much for the six stars, my friend, I always appreciate everything you say and do to help me. Big hugs. :)) Sandra xxx

You are very welcome and deserving, Sandra. It's amazing where ideas come from! Sort of like looking out at a little flag you've seen hundreds of times, and then write a story about it🙂

I look forward to what Mildred might have to say. She definitely deserves a turn, and what about poor James-he deserves a bit of a turn, too:)

Oh, yes, James most certainly does. He is involved in as far as he'd cease to exist it they don't stop him! :)) LOL. xxx

I am so happy! Mildred is ALIVE. :)))) WOO HOO. The way she talks males me laugh. I love it. She's such a fun character in the story. I'm always curious as to where you are going with this story.

The ending was great. I could just 'see' Mildred's jaw drop. I can't wait to read what comes next.

Great writing, my friend.
