Everyone should have a pondering stone, and your short fable gives a good description of why. I love and agree with the moral of your story. One of my favorite lines "don't wait for the vultures to circle in slow". Good luck with the contest.

Great poem that carries wisdom. We have such an empty, barren world of lack of faith that we must always remember Higher Power and follow His wisdom, carrying it a pocket of our hearts. Who we are rides on the winds of determination.
